In Times Of Difficulty
Happy New Week to the WA Community!
I just want to quickly and briefly share this message which I came across today. And it resonated with me mostly in context with the Ukrainian invasion by Russia. I hope that you can find it useful to reflect on as the European countries are faced with the unprepared massive influx of refugees in their borders under the cold winter!
Someone said this, I'm not sure who, but here is what was said, "When I was going through a very difficult time, someone called me up and played piano music for me on my answering machine. It made me feel very loved -- and I never discovered who had done it." Isn't that a beautiful act of kindness? I believe that there are many acts of kindness that we can do or give to help people in desperate need.
Now, I will like you to read the excerpt that touched me; which I believe will touch you too; considering what's going on in Ukraine and EU's borders.
"Every human being is your counterpart. Every other human being possesses and embodies aspects of yourself: your dreams, your sorrows, your hope that your life will not turn out to be a dirty joke.
For each of us there was a time when the world was young, a springtime of spirit that was later tested by the winders of discontent' and in the midst of each of our lives lies the haunting shadow of death. Therefore we are all quite alike; indeed at the core we are all one, all lost ---- and found in the same mysterious enterprise that is life.
Hold this in your heart as you go about your day, and the world will cease to be inhabited by strangers, and the burden of life itself will no longer be a process of loneliness."
Amazing massage! Therefore for all the citizens of the world, brothers and sisters, I want to motivate us to show kindness in difficult times like this to our fellow pilgrims. We can resist anything contrary to the heart of mercy at these trying times.
As always, leave me your comment/Like/perspective. Greatly appreciate your time.
