Small Successes
So this Friday will mark my 2 week anniversary on WA :) In that time, I have managed to progress to lesson 6 and have managed to obtain 100 followers and a ranking of 1785. I also have written a couple of blog posts. Most importantly, I have started the design on my first website! These are incremental advances but when I started this journey, I did so understanding that money wasn't going to pour from the skies and make me instantly wealthy. I think I will appreciate this so much more as I build it from a slow simmer to a rolling boil. So I am taking today to focus on the small successes and focus on the goals ahead and I encourage you all to do the same! Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Seriously, well done on your series of incremental achievements.. ...they all add up to more substantial, aggregable ones.
And also well done for realising that building your business is just that, building.
What you are doing now is laying solid foundations with all of the work going on below ground level bit with not a lot to show for all the time and effort you've put into it.
But soon you'll be showing above the ground with your site becoming live and available for people to see, follow and comment on.
As you continue to build, the more visible your business becomes and the more you build, the more you will realise that you have a skyscraper of a business on your hands that all will see and want to know all about.
Keep up the good work Ted and continue to celebrate all of your small successes.

Thanks for your kind words and thoughts! I think it is important to focus on the small successes as they indeed build momentum to keep going. I like the skyscraper analogy. When we start to build something, we are only seeing the potential yet all to often, we ignore the inevitable setbacks and delays that will occur. This can lead to discouragement which is the death of dreams. However every floor built is another step closer to completion.
