Simply The Best

There's been a few posts that mentioned statistics relating to success this week. I even mentioned a sobering statistic in one of my own posts too and, I also mentioned the idea of being careful about what you say to yourself because, you are listening.

So, when stats cross our radar, we need to be careful because while they can contribute to our motivation and ultimate success, they can also burst our bubble and set us back, or worse, knock us out altogether.

Should We Ignore The Stats?

No, not at all. Somebody spent time, effort and money collecting the data and while data can be presented in a particular way to suit the message they want to put out there, there is always an element of truth to what they're saying. It's how we react that counts and ignoring the message isn't always the best policy. A positive response is better.

"Ninety percent of all new internet businesses fail in the first 120 days". Wow, that's a shocker and I wonder how many people fail because of those 14 words?

Research by CB Insights, discovered that 13% of businesses failed because they simply lost focus. I wonder how many of these people who failed did so because they were negatively affected by stats like 90% fail in 120 days?

Change The Way You Look At Things

My natural disposition is to turn statistics that have any relationship with what I'm doing, on

their head. Ten percent of businesses don't fail and I choose to be a member of the 10% by taking whatever action is necessary. Action Changes Things and every challenge has a positive solution if you care to look for it.

No Need To Become A Negative Statistic
