I want to download my websites to my local storage and work on them via a local WP installation. How do I do this? Cheers.
Hi Rick, thanks for the response. That ought to work for the content but what about the layout and databases? Could I import this file into another WP installation and be back up and running straight away without any need to reconfigure the whole site?
Cheers,
Laurence

I set up my webmail account a few months ago and from day 1 I've had nothing but spam emails, from wannabe hackers claiming to have infected my system and stolen my passwords t
Hey Kramer,
You should be able to mark those types of messages as spam.
If you are really using Webmail and you cannot find any help in Google then you might better setup a gmail account (which is REALLY good at detecting spam) and forward your Webmail to that gmail account.
Webmail is not really meant to be used for sending and receiving emails but rather only as a means of forwarding your email for you.
You could even setup your gmail account to respond using your Webmail address. Here is how: Create an email forward to forward mail from your website email address to your gmail address Hope you find this helpful.
Can I set up spam filters in my email account?

Basically the above... I am having to allocate income elsewhere this month as I'm moving house shortly but I don't want to lose my sites. I don't mind not being able to access
You will have 6 months to come back and get your site reactivated.
Best to download a copy of your site(s) in case of any unforeseen events.
I actually download a copy every week and it has come in handy a couple of times.
Good luck with your move.

Hi Phil, thanks for the reply. That's good to know, I'll certainly be back within that time but would be nice to not have my sites go down for any length of time!
Cheers, Laurence
hi laurence,
after the last payment your sites will be visible for 30 days.
after the 30 days they are archived, not visible to the public.
you can come back upto 6 months - i think- and just reactivte them.
make sure you take a full backup before you leave.
good luck with the house move.
