Hi Family,

I am currently creating a Wordpress site.

Now with the normal WP, you can't change the fonts etc...

Now there was a plugin called: Ultimate TinyMCE

With this, you could do so much, like change fonts, sizes etc...

If you have usd this plugin then you would know.

I caanot seem to find this plugin.

Is there another plugin, which has similar features as the above plugin mentioned?

Thanks

Chigs

I remember Ultimate TinyMCE some years back. They went to WP Edit and those features were only available for the paid version. I just went and looked at WP Edit and it has not been updated in a couple years. Not sure what happened there. Perhaps just couldn't compete with the likes of Elementor and Divi.

I've been very pleased with GeneratePress and Elementor. They work very well together.

Good luck with your website.

Hi Michael .. You may want to check out GP Blocks (made by the same guy who created generate press). It integrates well with generate press and doesn't slow the site down like Elementor can. Adding WP Show Posts along with the 2 can give you the same effects as GP with Elementor with less stress on site speed :)

I actually have a new site I'm trying GenerateBlocks with along with WP Show Posts. Its just in the formative stages, getting the layout down, etc.

Browsing through the GP library to get some ideas is what turned me on to GenerateBlocks.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi ... The plugin TinyMCE Advanced will allow you to set fonts and text colors along with a variety of other tools.
You can learn more about it here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/tinymce-advanced/

I'm not sure what theme you're using but the Generate Press premium theme will also allow you to do all this. The free version of Generate Press also allows font change and sizing but I don't believe color. Text color can be changed within the wordpress editor however.

Good luck, Shannon

hi Chigs ... good question .... it also depends upon the theme you have chosen to use in Wordpress ... which one are you in? ...

our Marion might be of better help as she seemingly has an encyclopedic breadth of techie know-how .... she might see your question ... hopefully .... :)

If you are using generate press, you will have some choices as to font. Go to Appearance > Customize > Typography.

Here you can change the font just under where it says 'body' and below this are the size options. If you are not using the premium version you would need to set the color within wordpress editor unless you choose to use a plugin.

... hope everything works out well ... all the best ... :)

... yes, great screenshot -- and thank you -- yes, there's a way to do it .... Jay did a fabulous job of it and I followed it with some 8 or 9 pages of notations .... which of course has gone awry as we've been moving .... kindly excuse as i just don't have my notes handy ....

A hint of "how to" preety pleaseeeeeee
Reply

.... it involved a good number of steps if i recall correctly and it needs to be done during the initial set-up .... where home page, about, blog, contact et al is being formulated .... before text ...

.... framework? ... anyway, lacking that for now ... here's review of the basics which might help ... arghh! ... perhaps with some luck, you'll get a super auto- techie who sees your question ...

.... ah-h ... here's where we learnt to program our 'look n feel' set up .... it's quite the webinar .... we learnt lots coming out of it ... and that's where the detailed bits count ....

.... yes, i did take a ton of notes and did implement on my sites.... and yes, it took TIME to do it! ... and then it worked! ....

.... Jay's webinars are Awesome, totally ... so hopefully, you can take the time to review it for your own needs ....

.... all the very best to you Chigs .... enjoy it all, thanks again!
