Hi WA family, strange enough my photo description apears in my search results of yahoo and Bing together with some other content i dont want there. All my meta descriptions are filled out and saved and I requested reindexing for those pages.

However, my neta description dont changes to my costumized description in most of my articles.

Is there anybody who have a idea why this happens and how I can resolve this?

Thank you kindly for your suggestions, I appreciated it.

Jude

Like Marion says, the search engines kind of just do their own thing. Especially when it comes to meta descriptions. It depends on the keyword people are searching, and if your meta description is relevant to their search query.

I often notice if I check where I rank for a particular post using different search phrases, each one will have a different meta description. Search engines don't always get it right and they can make you scratch your head sometimes, but they are trying and getting better all the time.

Hi Jay, great insight, thanks for sharing this with us today. Yes, most of my meta descriptions look rather strange 🙄 and don't make sense all together. Anyway, I learn their is not much I can do to control that 🙈. Have,a great day. Jude

Yeah, search engines are challenging for sure. It does get better though. New sites seem to jump around a lot more as search engines are still trying to figure them out. As your site matures and becomes more established you should find things settle down and become a lot more predictable in search as well. Have a great too :-)

We can't control Bing, Yahoo, or Google, search results. We just have to hope that they will display our Meta Descriptions the way we want.
