Does anyone have any experience with Site Health recommended improvements, in particular updating wordpress websites to PHP?
My site health is at 81% und I was looking for actions I could take to improve my health site. This was one of the recommendations.
Any advice on that?
Thank you all, you are awesome!!

I believe PHP is the language or format that Wordpress is written in.

I think so too, but why would they want you to update toPHP if they are already in php.
I'm really ignorant so forgive me

PHP, like other coding platforms, has periodic updates. These updates are handled by Site Support. Sometimes you don't need them even when you get messages to update. Check with Site Support and they can take a look and fix it for you if needed.

I update whenever I see an update for WordPress or a plugin. If the site is not up to date, then it could be at risk of a cyber-attack.

Oh, I wouldn't want that!! Actually I also do update when those orange circles appear, but this was in Site Health and just a recommendation, so I wondered what all this was about.
Thank you for letting me know!!!

Hi - you cannot upgrade PHP yourself, you would need to ask Site Support.

Wordpress websites already have to run on a php capable hosting. I think you may be referring to an update to the php version, which is a good thing to do considering it will include patches to security vulnerabilities found in previous versions. However, always make sure you have a backup, or if you're not sure, get someone who knows what they're doing to get the updates and backups done.

I host around 15 websites on my server for various clients and always keep them updated for security.

Thank you so much for your help!
I will have to ask someone how to backup my site and then do the upgrade.
Thanks again, very helpful information,
