I was just wondering about that. If you delete a website, does the domain automatically become available again?

And I have the same question for when a domain expires but you don't renew it. Does anyone know?

The domain is yours to use as you wish, until it expires. If you delete a website and still own the domain you can rebuild your site.

if you own the domain ...you can delete he website and have hte blank domain again until your registration for it expires...

when it runs out and you don't renew there is a time gap between that and it becoming avaialble, allowing you to renew after it expires...
for a short time you can renew without penalty...but after a couple of weeks ( i think it is) you get charged an extra admin fee...
if it is over 2 months or so then it becomes publically available again...

If the domain expires, then yes, it becomes available again, but it you just delete your website, the domain is still yours until the year subscription runs out.

Hi

Domain names are registered yearly.

When it expires, you still have up to one month to acquire it before it gets released again to the general public (80 days).

Depending domain name and its value, some may even become premiums or of a premium value if allowed to be released and then acquired again. It will have a premium tag attached to it.
