May I ask...

Is It Possible To Change Hiero Theme layout width?

The side bar or the side widgets occupies the more space. Is it possible to reduce it and increase the content width?

Please advice.

Hello Paul,

Try this to see if it works - GoTo -> Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS

Then put this code below and see if it works. If it doesn't, you can just as easily remove it without damaging your theme.

.container {
width: 980px;
}
.site-sidebar {
width: 300px;
}

You can change your container width to 1280px or any size you want and the same thing for the sidebar you can make it smaller than 300px.

May I request one more help...

Previously I was using the font given by Hiero Theme and yesterday I changed the font by customizing font.

When I went to change it there was no names on "Select your desired font for the headings." and "Select your desired font for the body."

I have chosen the fonts now but the size of my headings gone big and occupying more space. So I tried to go back to the default mode but I can't find any default button on the font drop down and I am not able to delete the chosen fonts as well.

(I also checked all the available fonts all are making it big and I am not able to see the previous font and size I had in default)

Please advice I love to go with the default option that I had previously.

Hello Paul,

Have you figured out your default theme font yet? I played around with the Hiero Theme and it appears you can't really go back once you have selected a font for the headings and body already.

Check the images below, it shows the default is "Yanone Kaffeesatz" for the headings and " "Open Sans" for the body which are exactly identical.

This is a good answer and its one of the reasons I changed from Hiero to Astra and Elementor, so the restrictions are removed and let's you build a custom blog.

Dear Sir...

If you don't mind another request...

1. I am using the theme Hiero...

You might be aware, Jay & Kyle suggest to get rid of my side bar for the blog posts.

So I was trying to get rid of the sidebar. I was able to do it with my pages but not able to do it with posts.

I want to keep the side bar in the home page but not in the rest of my pages and posts. Is that possible?

Please advice, it will be a greater help.

2. May I ask you... How to increase the font size in my posts and pages.

Thanks In Advance!

With your help I was able to bring much needed changes to my site and that means a lot to me. I was breaking my head trying different things and spending a lot of time but you helped me a lot.

With Gratitude,
Paul

Hello Paul,

I am sorry I could not be of much help here. The Hiero Theme has limitations and these are one of those.

I played with the Hiero Theme and there's not a way to get rid of the sidebar on posts, you can only do it on pages. If you want your font to become bigger, you can try the css below and change the 16px to 18px or even larger.

Go to ->Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS -> then paste the code below:

html body {
font-size: 16px;
}
