I tried a couple of plugins that did not work as advertised, (one was a star rating plugin) and there is a strange post (Product List) that at one time had disappeared, and now is back?

The plugin was deactivated and deleted, while the "product list" post appears nowhere on my post pages (No way to delete?)...

In spite of all my efforts I have these bits and pieces of information which look untidy and unprofessional! Is there a way to get rid of them (I am sure there is, I just do not know how)...

Here is a picture of what the bottom of the blog roll page looks like with the garbage: Any suggestions? Thanks in advance of course!

Cheers!

Dave, interesting results. What was the long-term answer to this question? I am always wondering about some of the things I try to get done.

Hi Sami,

Thanks for stopping by...

Actually I still have the stuff there...I have tried the suggestions to no avail, so I will keep trying as suggestions come in....

I did get rid of some other stuff that was slowing the site down, but these things just hang around no matter what...

I may break down and get some professional help, but I am being patient now (this stuff I want gone does find me every time I am on the page though lol)...

Cheers!

Hi Sheree! Arghhhh nothing has worked so far, i have tried everything suggested...I may go to the theme support page to see what others suggest....I will post the fix whenever I get it though, others may run into the same problem...I am sure it will turn out to be something easy to fix, like so many other things I am learning over time! Have you checked your plugins? I had this with an adsense plugin I had forgotten about. I had used it to place content in the footer.

Hi Peter,

Yes I sure have checked them, it is gone from my theme, but evidently it did not remove all of the code when I deleted it...

I will make sure that I look at exactly what codes etc. will be deleted next time I delete a plugiin so I can go back into the code to get rid of it if not removed completely...

This bit of code may be difficult to find, but I am hoping it will be on the home page coding, since the blog roll is there...

Cheers and thanks M8!
Hope all is well with you!

All good thanks Dave.
Have you checked in: Appearance > Editor > Theme Footer?

I may have missed you saying it, but did you delete the plugins? If so, then you may just have to go in the editor and look for the code found in the theme footer portion and delete it. Not sure what theme you are running but it may be different for each theme as to what the section of code will be labeled.

Yes they are deleted, and the only one that left its trail was the star rating plugin, as you see...I will try that....Thanks! Cheers! Dave : )
