I'm trying to find a way to add automatic numbers to the headings in a table of contents using the TOC Block. Google search has come up with nothing that works yet.
Have you found a way to do this please?

Thank you to Phil (@Feigner) for introducing Kadence Blocks.

Uploaded free from within WP plugins.
Superb for what I want, very flexible, fun, and has a wealth of other blocks that I'll have fun exploring over time.

if you install kadence blocks plugin you get a load of extra blcoks and one of those is a toc...
very similar to easy toc...
don't know how the numbering pans out

excellent.. .thought it looked good
i have had a play eith the kadence theme in the past and found that to be good...saw that kadence did a block plugin and took a quick look...
not used all of the blocks but thry do look good...
