I want to put some permanent or maybe semi permanent content on the home page while the blog posts will go under the Blog page in the top navigation window. How do I get content to appear on the home page

It looks like in the picture your wanting your home page to house mutiple blocks with your post in them if so that;s your page editor just create the blocks in your editor or a different template
if I'm incorrect clarify for me you know a static page is going to be the only page for your website , right

I made the home page a static page and yes, i want multiple blocks with some different posts in the page. This is to be a permanent home page but not the only page on the website.

Again, here is a screenshot of a site that has done that. There is some content above the screenshot view but I want to do something like this:

I would change back to a home page first, then get into your template editor and add blocks to your home page with a static page you wont have any other pages

If you can't add blocks with your editor then add widgets you can add html widgets which will show up as blocks that you can edit and upload a post to it

Can you add blocks with the Gutenberg editor? I really haven't gotten into widgets yet so I don't know how to use them

Thanks again. It worked with blocks. Made 2 columns. Now I need to figure out how to make a button clickable. Maybe with Elementor if I can't make it happen with Gutenberg

If you have the premium version of elementor you will have the option to use an element under the Pro setting named Posts. When u use this element your posts will show up and each one is linked to the source. But it is only under the premium part.

If u do not have premium you can use the image element which u can link each image to the post u want. Split your sections into as many blocks as you need. If u need more help with this please PM me.

Not premium. Got to learn more about using it before I pay for it. I was able to do in with the block editor as far as making the column blocks and adding content but now they are too far apart top to bottom. Got to figure out how to tighten it up.

See what I mean. I want the same spacing top to bottom as it is side to side. Is there any way to size the blocks?

I do not use the blocks. I use Elementor for everything. But you can use the free elementor and have it more uniform. If you need some screenshots let me know. Or go click on laura57 under my profile photo and look at quotes from the menu. All of them are in elementor elements

Thanks. I will need to learn Elementor to put content above the blocks and get it to look like I want. There is very little Elementor training I could find in WA. Maybe I can google Elementor for Dummies or something like that

Elementor provides videos it's fairly easy to use best way is to just play around with it I would use a blank page tho

Hope some of this advice has worked as I've considered doing the same. I'll stay tuned to see how you go.

So far nobody has told me what I need to know. Not even when I attached a graphic as an example. They are all telling me things I already know how to do.

I thought I had phrased the question clearly

That can happen sometimes. 😊

There's a step within the training that will help you ASSIGN a page to your home page. :) Isn't that your question, or maybe I misunderstood what you are looking for?

The one in the picture comes with that specific theme. You could recreate something like that but you'll need a page-builder plugin.

Yes. I assigned a page to my home page as a test. It didn't appear there

Thanks Candi but I know how to make a static page and have already done so. What I need to know is how to get either a page or a post to appear on the static home page. I want to put 6 to 10 posts or page there on a permanent basis while my regular posts appear in the blog page.

I have already set all that up but in testing I can't get any content to appear on the home page
