Hi guys,
I want to get some stock videos - like the stock images we use but a short video instead.
I've seen sites that have something like this and I'm sure there must be resources out there.
Ideally it would be great if they were free but if I have to pay, I'd be happy to do so.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions

If I understand correctly...

...you may want to try lumen5(dot)com...they have both paid and free...

...I used the free version and they come out good...

It takes about 5 to 20 minutes to create the video...but, worry none...all your doing is submitting your URL...and the picking audio or tweaking a few things here and there and that is it...

When I submitted my URL I didn't change yachting...I just submit the URL...and viola my video was created...(all for free)

I've also uploaded a few of them to YT and surprisingly...I was getting a little traffic but, since I didn't stay consistent my YT traffic has stopped...

I hope this helps....

Thanks so much for taking the time to help me. I don't want to create the video though--just get one, even for a price.
I'll definetpy check out lumen5.com
Have a great day and Thanks again. If you'd like me to leave a comment or anything for your website, please just send a link (we're still allowed to do that I hope)

YouTube or vimeo are your best bets. Stock videos can be pricey.

Hi Dave
Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out
Wouldn't there be copyright issues around just using someone else's videos though? Do you know where I can get stock videos? I'm actually happy to pay.
Have a great day and if you'd like me to check out your site and comment or anything, please just send a link :)

People who write YouTube videos want more exposure, more views because they make more money!

Also, when somebody puts a video on YouTube, they have to decide whether they want to enable the "embed" capability.

The other downside is if the video is taken down off YouTube, then obviously it won't work on your site.

But it is done all the time as you can see from the comments below.

Here's some more information to help you decide in this murky area:

You can embed YouTube videos onto your site - if you can see the embed codes in the share section , then you can add to your site.

Thanks heaps Paul,
I don't have videos that I've made but just want something as a background without sound. I really just need a stock video I think - I'll take a proper look today
Have a great day and once again thanks for your help; if you would like me to check out your website or comment on anything, please just send me a link
