How can I add a font to the 'Font Family' in the page / blog editor?

Is it possible?

Many thanks

Ok still not resolved...
I have looked into the 4 options summarised in my comment yesterday.

Option 4 is the closest solution for adding a font to the 'font family' drop down in the Page/Blog editor.
Unfortunately my theme doesn't have a 'Visual Editor Stylesheet' section, it stops at 'Stylesheet'. I have read through my themes whole editor to try & find where it may mention fonts name - I must be missing something, no luck.

Option 2 'easy google fonts' free plugin
Great easy to use plug in + good plain instructions...
I installed it, gives me same options my theme already provides but much more practical in as I don't have to jump around different sections for the various elements. Can see it being really great for themes that don't give many fonts & font options. Doesn't give any option to add the font I want to my 'Font Family' drop down in the Page/Blog editor.

Option 3 'TinyMCE Advanced' free plugin
Again looks like a really good one for themes that don't give you all these editorial options. Again can't see any option to add the font I want to my 'Font Family' drop down in the Page/Blog editor.

Option 1 'use any font' plugin by Dinesh Karki
Found it all far too confusing whilst trying to read up on it.

So how else can one add a font of ones choosing to appear in the 'Font Family' drop down box found where we edit/add a new Post/Page?

Many Thanks

Give this Plugin a try, tell me if it works, if not, I will see if I can find the answer myself :) Here it is: https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-any-font/

You can install it through your WP dashboard, I just provided you with the link with the name of the Plugin.

Hi there!
Thanks for all your help.

I found the plugin when I was researching the 4 options. I like to read up on things before downloading & that's where this one fell flat for me to proceed. Do you use it?

Will it actually allow the adding of fonts so it's an "option" in the font family drop box so that it can be used occasionally in the content area of a blog/page not as a header, etc... ?

It was recommended to me by a member named Scott. You can always try as many plugins as you want until you find the right one. If you don't think that the plugin meets your criteria, you can always uninstall it and delete it from your plugin list and it will be terminated completely. You can still add it back if you want to as well.

Thanks for that Floridalma :D

I will look into the 4 options I gathered from that post...
1) install (use any font) plugin by Dinesh Karki (from gadifi)

2) 'easy google fonts' plugin (free) (from MarionBlack)
to add a typography section to the Appearance=> Customize section in the dashboard. You can change the fonts for headers and paragraphs on a site-wide basis.

3) 'TineMCE Advanced' (also free) (from MarionBlack)
gives you control on an individual post/page basis

4) Changing global theme font. (from Kathy331)
