Ultimateless, Have you tried a free give away or an informational site, or a newsletter with a box installed for them to sign up to get something free such as information. People love free stuff and when they sign up they are giving you permission to email them back to start your list. Do you use and auto-responded this also helps a lot. Hope this helps :)
