Hello,

does anyone has an idea on how I can change the behavior between the Post page (single.php) and the Page page (Page.php) regarding the handling of the comments.

- On a Post page (like most homepages) when you have 2 comments and you enter the page then you have to click on "View all 2 comments" to open the comments.

- On a Page page (all other pages I guess) when you have 4 comments and you enter the page then you immediatly see the content of the comments and the text is now "4 thoughts on %Page%".

I attached a little print screen of the examples, but you all know probably the difference.
Important to know: I use the Twinty Thirteen scheme, so nothing exotic...
It would be great if I could have the comments closed when you enter the page, so you always start with a "clean page" without lists of comments.

Can somebody help me with this, please?

(It has something to do with the php files, but I already spend soo much time in trying to figure this out....)

Grtz,
Bert

Go to the post, quick edit, then uncheck the box before "allow comments"

No Loes, the problem is on the page... No with the posts.. And also when I do that I just don't have any comments at all...

I already add something in the page.php (or index have to check) to get the comments on the page. (something like [comment-form] but that is rather easy to find)
But it is the differance in behavior between the post page and the page page on that comment-form that I don't find or understand...
