Hello,

It's me again!

I'm in the middle of revamping a review post that was published in Classic Editor some years ago.

I noticed the text is very small and hard to read. I have 2 questions :

1. Do you know how I can change the font size in Classic Editor?
2. What is a good FREE font size plugin?

Thank you for your help and kind regards,
Monica

You can change your classic into block post if you like in dashboard. Then click on the block and choose your font size on the right hand side. Typography, custom. Just another way to do it, it will also up your SEO score. Then you can also add the main picture as the featured image. Make sure you remove the first image though, or you will end up with 2 images the same.

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for your help.

I changed my post a few months ago from Classic Editor to the Block Editor but something happened and it made a mess. I spent quite a bit of time fixing my post, finally got discouraged and left it.

This post happens to be my Wealthy Affiliate review with over 5,000 words... I'm going to leave it now in the Classic Editor because for me to try again to Block Editor, which I just did, I now get this... see screenshot. I tried to fix it from there but nothing comes up, no text shows up. Kinda scary!

The text is wayyyy too small.

Thanks again!

Regards,
Monica

if you want to keep it in the classic editor then you could install the tinymce editor plugin which gives you loads of functions...
or as the others have said down the right sidebar you can convert it to the block editor and convert the whole classic block to blocks to be used in the standard block editor...

Hey Phil,

Thank you again for your help.

Yes, I'm going to leave it in the Classic Editor. I tried to bring my post over to the Block Editor and it made a mess. I must have done something wrong...

Ok, this one sounds good though...I'll check out the tinymce editor plugin.

Thanks again!

Hi Monica,

Depending on the theme you use you can customize your font size by going to Appearance - Customize - Typography and you will see your setting here.

I use Generate Press and have attached a screenshot of where you should be if looking at the same theme.

I hope this helps.

If the post was created using the Classic Editor then just click into the first paragraph then click on Convert to Blocks so you can edit it as if it was created using the block editor.

Hi Marion,

It's wonderful to hear from you and thank you for your help.

I'm sure I did something wrong when I was changing my post from Classic to the Block Editor. Whatever I did I can no longer do that. Here's my screenshot... when I try to correct it in the block it runs for a long time and finally says it's using too much memory or something like that and nothing shows up, i.e. no text in the Block Editor.

So I'll leave my Wealthy Affiliate review, over 5,000 words in Classic Editor... scared I'll mess it up even more. I had to fix a lot of things to it because it created a whole bunch of empty spaces and other things. But the text is now wayyy too small to read.

I did get good suggestions here so I'll try them out. I also looked at your video too and that has good info as well.

Thank you again for your help, Marion.

Monica

If all else fails create a new post and copy and paste from the old to the new.

Hi Marion,

Wow, this is interesting and good to know.

BUT if I copy and paste to a new post, Google won't penalize me then for plagiarism? Correct? This is because it's my content? Do I use the same title with exactly the same keyword?

Thank you again, Marion. I appreciate your help.

It depends on your theme.
You can customize your font size to make it equal through your site.
Locate Appearance, click on customize, then Global (depends on your theme)
I use size 18 on my site.
