Hello,

I have been adding Tags to my pages and posts, very simple, just add the Tags...
But now I have a whole list of error 500 code alerts in my Google search console...

I wonder if somebody has some experience with this?
And how to prevent this in the future?

Grtz,
Bert

I tried wordpress.org for you https://wordpress.org/search/ error+500?forums=1 (remove the space)

Thanks Marion, but it is not really showing me the path to the solution... I mean: there are a lot of pages I can check... :-)
But I knew it would be a hard one....

Those subcodes can be interesting, but I first have to find which subcode it is. But this is definiteley something that I will check...

Wikipedia says that a 500 Internal Server Error is a generic error message, and it is given when an unexpected condition was encountered and apparently, the 500 error is the only suitable message..????.
then this site says it is not a client side problem and that it is the web server's problem...sounds bizarre... http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E500.html

In other words: it can be everything and also nothing... It is the trash bin of the error codes... ;-)

That is pretty much how I read it too :-)
And it looks like you can pay for their service to have them tell you that...

This doesn't say much about the 500 error Bert, and maybe you already found it:

https://developers.google.com/webmaster-tools/v3/errors

I did find some other sites that point to a PHP issues as possible cause. Have you changed your PHP recently?

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/32653675/google-search-console-api-searchanalytics-500-error

There is a ton of other gobbly gook on that last link .... if you can understand it your a better man than me. :-)

ROCK ON!

Hello E,

Thanks for your answer, but that's a little bit why I ask the question, because it is not easy to find the cause of an error 500 internal server error... And I hoped somebody had the same issue and already spend 4 days on it before it was solved... ;-)

Grtz,
Bert
