Can I use the same Google keys on two plugin integrations or more on the same website? Will it create a conflict?

Thanks.

Hi Abie,

I have looked online and found out the below. It looks like it may be alright but you will need to add the domains to the list of reCAPTCHA authorized domains. Take a look...

Resources:
--> https://developers.google dot com/recaptcha/docs/domain_validation?hl=en
--> https://developers.google dot com/recaptcha/intro?hl=en

Fingers crossed!

Hey Abie,

Google searching your question (see screen print below...), it appears that the answer to your question is "yes".

Here's the URL to that chat: https://groups.google.com/g/recaptcha/c/jqAimwy-8nw

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you Trish, I tried obtain different keys I could not - you can create a one site with one set of keys say Recaptcha v3

I try integrate with two plugins I got locked out, site support has to dismantle one in order to get back in. It didn't resolve the issue.

But I have seen it done elsewhere, for example a login | logout job board and a contact form.

I tried to get contact form 7 and recaptcha integration to Form 7 that didn't work either.

Site support do not know if it creates conflict. I am hoping someone who has done this practically can confirm with me.

If yes, how it was done. Appreciate your response.

Hey Abie,

Have you tried reaching out to the plugin developer?

In the Google group chat, I understood that you can use two different versions of the recaptcha plugin.

You can easily deactivate a plugin through your FTP access in order to regain access to your WordPress website.

I have issues logging into my hobby site EVERY time, so I have to use my FTP access and deactivate the recaptcha plugin, login, and then go back to the FTP access and reactivate if again.

Sometimes I forget to reactivate the recaptcha plugin BEFORE moving away from the Dashboard, and when that happens, I need to REactivate the plugin under Plugins All AFTER I have reactivated the plugin using my FTP access.

Hope this makes sense to you. If not, then yes, you are better off seeking the assistance of SiteSupport.

That's a good trick but temporary one, last time I forgot to add recaptcha and I ended up with hundreds of spam signups and messages. I am looking more at a permanent solution, however I appreciate your feedback.

I have not reached to the plugin developer, because I am using the free version.

Even free versions of WordPress plugins will allow you to post a ticket to the developers, and most developers appreciate learning of issues early on.

The tip on how you can resolve a plugin issue is not a trick, it is a method for regaining access to your WordPress site, and it is the way that support resolves those types of issues too.

I always thought the free plugins goes to the forums and premium one to the developers or that isn't the case any longer.

Right I gather now, that's how they undo the Recaptcha, appreciate your feedback always Trish.

I still have not resolved my issue. But I am working on it.

I had an issue on a previous site it got locked, so I think may be not. What do you think? Have you "practically" tried?
Reply

No have not tried, but there is no logical reason in my mind why the same wouldn't work on different sites! But if you think it locked you our, don't use a different one!

The thing is you cannot have more than one set of keys on the one website, so how to do, I got locked out on a previous occurrence? I need someone confirm with me that can be done, before I enact, you see what I mean.
