In the privacy notice of many affiliate partners, they say that specific information about the person asking to be accepted with them maybe collected. They do say it will not be sold, etc to protect you, but I see that they collect your IP address. If you are using a VPN, I understand they will not be able to get your actual IP address. Could someone discuss how to address this issue?

Hi

VPN are used all the time.

However, I find not adequate to run a VPN when you are processing financial transactions.

You'd find some financial institutions have the technology not to process such transactions as well.

Best thing is to take it up with their support going forward to confirm and be exact.

Different programs, run different terms and conditions.

Sorry I didn’t see your last sentence, however, that is true with other sites as well, like movies. The VPN techs advised me to change cities and that worked. I guess if that doesn’t work with what you are doing you have to make a decision to turn off the VPN or not use the affiliate.
The real question is has anyone received a notice when an affiliate says they can’t process your request because of the VPN. Of course the real problem, if any, I’m getting to is will they process commissions if they don’t have your IP Address to identify you? I assume they do or they wouldn’t have any business. Question answered????

I hear you however there's the issue of security and/or data theft.

I personally prefer not to run with it, you just do not know who's with all the other servers the VPN utilize.

Unless I have other endeavors.

Whether they process or not, and to be in the clear is to contact interested parties and confirm.

Or they may have a cooling period before they pay up to anticipate for such occasions , for example WA has a month delay in paying commissions for folks who join the WA platform yearly subscribers.
