When I go to "updates" this comes up:

I'm confused :(

I can think of a few options:
1) Contact WA hosting support 2) Contact the plugin support https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-spamshield
3) Ditch WP-Spamshield and install Antispam Bee

Hello,

In my opinion: remove spamshield and install antispam from webvitaly (easy and great tool) and you do not need any captcha plugin (because it is already in antispam)...

That's what I would do...
