One More Time. Round 2

Today, I became a premium member. I was really hesitant and still am a little skeptical about doing affiliate marketing again. My hesitation really had more to do with spending another $47/mo and whether I am really going to dedicate myself to spending the time needed to make something happen. It's not the program I doubt, as much as I do myself making the time.

Now, this isn't my first time doing affiliate or internet marketing rodeo. I've made pretty good money online over the years. However, when Panda and Penguin hit my money sites a few years ago...the party ended and I got a bit discouraged. Since then I've had ups and downs with e-commerce sites. I've made really good money on some, but have lost thousands on others.

I've spent hundreds on courses and memberships. Some of them, I bought because I felt like I would miss out if I didn't join. Others, I joined only to pay monthly fees and never even log in to watch the training videos. So I made a promise to myself about a year ago, I wouldn't buy anymore shiny objects or spend money on monthly membership sites.

So why did I sign up for Wealthy Affiliate premium? What changed? To be honest I'm not really sure. I guess something about the community made me feel welcomed. Many sites have promised a community before, but few have delivered a real one. I kind of appreciate that it's not just another Facebook Group community. I enjoy that there is an actual social aspect to the website and a real sense of community here. Members are active and have reached out to help. That made me realize - all these people wouldn't be here, if wasn't worth joining.

I've only done a few of the lessons, so I really can't give a full review of the training material. But, so far the ones I've covered have been really good, so that helped make the decision to join a little easier.

So here is the plan. Wealthy Affiliate, one way or another, will be the last training course I purchase. I am committing myself to the WA training and implementing what I learn. I've always taught my kids to never quit and their father is not a quitter. I've always told them, if something is not working, you change your approach and you push forward, you never lose sight of your goal. So here I am back for round 2 and 3, and however many rounds it takes to make it.

So over the next month or two, I hope I can l say this was the best decision I've ever made and never look back. Thank you to everyone that has sent me welcome messages. Over the next days, I hope to chat with you and help you in whatever I can, as we go together through this journey.

Cheers,

Ever

Hi Ever:

I enjoyed reading your blog. So many of us including myself can relate to chasing the shiny object and losing money on programs that are scams.

Congrats on going premium. I think the more you get to know WA, the more inspired you will be. One thing to keep in mind is that yes, this is a great community and the social aspect is awesome here. However, never lose sight of your websites and the main purpose you are here - to do affiliate marketing and make money.
I hope that makes sense.

I love the values you are instilling in your kids. They will learn much from you as they see what you are now doing.

Steph

Thanks Steph. That's my goal to make money with affiliate marketing :). I already have my 2 niches to begin creating my websites and hopefully I can use this training to improve my other websites I have outside of WA.

I am sure you will do great! :)
