Is teamwork for dummies?
Hello everyone,
I hope your doing great and enjoying the ride at WA as I am. I'm going to tell you a story I heard. If is real or not I can't tell but what I can tell you is that for me it was life-changing. So, without farther introduction here we go.
During a shipwreck thousands of people died that day except 2 friends. They survived and found themselves stock on a desert Island.
This 2 friend were figuring out what to do to survive this hard situation. One said to the other, you are going north side of the Island I'm going south. We're going to start praying to see which one of us received help first to see if we can get out of this situation. The other friend agreed and started their journey.
The friend that went to the north prays for food and found a coconut tree. Then he prays for shelter and he found a cave, then he prays for help and at a distance he saw a ship approaching to the Island.
I'm saved, he said. But in his mind and heart he analyzed, maybe my friend is not so loved by God because whatever I pray I received but from him I haven't heard anything. So I'm going to go without looking for him because this rescue is not going to last forever.
As soon as he was boarding the ship God said to him, where are you going without your friend and he replied to God, I was boarding the ship because I thought my friend was no good because as soon as I pray I received but from him I don't know anything.
God said to him, I give you food, shelter and help not because of your prayers. You received all of this because your friend prays for you and said, "Please God give my friend food, shelter and help".
When we think only about ourselves it doesn't get us far enough. But when we think on each other we grow as family, we grow as a Community.
Thanks again to all of you that has helped me and I hope with this story I can give you back a little of my appreciation for been there when I need you.

Great story! Thinking of others will get us further than thinking of ourselves. This is so true here as we try to build our "empires". If we set out to help others, we have a much better chance at bringing good things to ourselves. The opposite is true also. If we are only here for ourselves, we will probably not succeed. Thank you for sharing!
