The Best Sales Pitch

In our changing world, some truths stay the same. There are some rules that work so well and have stood the test of time.

Crafting a good sales pitch is not easy.

Folks tend to buy from people or organisations that they trust, it takes some time to establish trust even when we have actually worked out what we are selling. Today an effective sales pitch is a two-way street, we are trying to engage our audience in a conversation. It can be about asking your audience and buyers questions but more importantly listening to their responses and providing them with the right solutions or products that will solve their issues and needs.

Above all, we need to engage our audience and deliver the right message at the right time.

It can be about first impressions have we listened and have we reacted in the right way, presented the right offer. Are we doing it in a user-friendly way just some of the questions to ponder?

  • Right offer
  • Right time
  • Right audience.

In the process of building trust, we are looking to entertain and enlighten our audience building bridges creating dialogue, keeping it friendly, snappy and delivering our message in that conversational way, not selling but sharing our knowledge in the hope that it will help and fulfill the needs of our readers.

It appears to me that it is somewhat of an art form a definite work in progress the level of success directly related to our ability to deliver that message. From observation, there are more than enough ways to do that we just need to perfect a few of them to start with and then start building momentum.

On the other side of the coin, we have the opposite approach we can assume we know what the customer wants and needs and supply according to our assumptions. The product of our choosing to the audience that we have created and we can blast it at them loud and clear. We are delivering value we are creating content for ourselves and sharing that with our audience.



There are two ways to go one works maybe some of the time, one works all of the time. The internet is changing we need to adapt and change with it, our potential customers are sophisticated and connected like never before, they can spot insincerity at 50 paces or 2 seconds after you pop onto their 5-inch screen.

Respect your audience and they will reward you with their respect.

If we can hold our customer's attention the better placed we are to effect sales, quite simple really I think.
