I Ain't No Richard Branson
I love the urban legend tale of how Sir Richard Branson returned from the first flight of the now empire that is Virgin Airlines to be met by bankers that were going to shut him down and send him and his company into the abyss. A demand for monies to be repaid. The thing about the banking fraternity is that they quite risk adverse and at the slightest hint that things may not be running to schedule the alarm bells are sounding loud and clear and they are moving to protect their position
That whole deal would send many of us ducking for cover, " now just let me find my little rock to crawl under and I will come out sometime next week maybe ".
Well as legend has it the weekend was spent negotiating and calling in favors and just going hard out to sure the ship, come Monday and a new week there was a resolution in place, new financiers and his flagship was in a position to continue to success extraordinary success that it enjoys today.
A simple observation about guys and girls like this is that they all share one thing in common above all else and that is they are;
Hungry
They are hungry for it, hungry for success, driven to find ways to bring about the success. We can spend all day and night debating what success is, as we all know it is as individualistic as there are folks walking the face of the earth. At the end of the day if we want anything more than the norm we have to develop that hunger.
Don’t you just love this story, it is one about overcoming the odds and digging deep managing risk and coming up with solutions that work. I just love it.
Well looking at it I ain’t no Richard Branson, but I am hungry.
I am me and together do we have something to offer the world to right we do!
The key is to find our theme song and our voices and then use them to create something special.
It won’t happen overnight but if we do stick to it we can all get there. the tremendous thing about online marketing is that it works and there are relatively low barriers to entry unlike forays into bricks and mortar business world. The risks are entirely manageable
It doesn’t matter what has happened in the past like the saying goes tomorrow is a brand new day of opportunity and contrary to common belief tomorrow does come around are we ready for it. with that in mind, we can crack on and give it a real good go. The lofty hieghts of success can be scaled for sure.

Alexander, I woke up at 4 am this morning, thinking about online business stuff and being made at myself for waking up way too early when I actually feel tired.
So, this is the perfect story for me to read. It's good to be hungry and it is not unusual to have invested everything you have into getting a great idea up and running.

Totally know that one Sondra, waking up and thinking about online marketing it is kind of a total immersion kind of thing. I went to sleep the other night listening to a video there were 50 in the series I woke up and I was up to number 38 I am just waiting for the genius to kick in.
It is so true many of the folks here at WA are so keen on bringing about that positive lifestyle change it is like you say all about that investment, sometimes we can feel like it is a lonely journey being here at WA can be so helpful with that regard , thank you for your comment really appreciated it.

Thanks for the great story Alexander. I seem to remember the mid-late 80's being the shaky days of Virgin Airlines. Our younger daughter was living in London and was making a journey back to NZ on Virgin Airlines. We went to the airport in Auckland to meet her but she had not arrived. Communication was not good in those days and it was so hard to find out where she was. After many hours we found she was okay, but had been stranded somewhere in the USA due to a problem with the Airlines.
As you say, Sir Richard was hungry, as we are too. And that's what keeps us going, together with faith in ourselves and belief that we can do it!
That is a classic story Valerie you will of been very pleased that your daughter arrived in one piece, I think that there would have been many yarns like that. the thing that I take is that from a shaky start we can create something special. Much like our attempts to produce award winning content, just get it out there, to begin with, then learn on the job.

Thanks Alexander for responding to my comment. My hunger is growing with the effect being paying less attention to the community. It's not that I don't love the community. I most certainly do. But my websites are calling me loudly, and while they do that - my hunger continues!!

Hi, Arthur, you are most welcome, there are more than a few hungry folks here in WA it is all about making the commitment and going for it. It is motivating when we come across yarns like this. The only way to discover if we are cut from the same cloth ios to put the cloak on and see how it fits.
