High Flyers Won't Pay You the Slightest Heed But knock On The door Anyway

One of the interesting things about trying to create an online business is that it can be fast paced and full of challenges. Which if we are honest can be half the fun of it. One of the drawbacks is that Mr mistake can always want to be a close associate it comes with the territory.

I had an encounter last week, there is always something that can trip you up. My bug bear of late is operating across the different time zones. For some strange reason, I just seem to muck it up from time to time. Ah, quite a bit lately it is definitely a mind thing when I get tired or too busy.

Long story short, I was looking at purchasing some software that was priced at an incredible value for money price point. You guessed it I missed out on the deal just got my wires crossed times and dates muddled, I could have kicked myself into next week for some reason, just really annoyed at myself.

Ever have one of those moments?

Mr. Mistake can come calling and want to be one of your friends you do not have to accept the invitation. On reflection did I really need that software? Yip so my decision was to purchase it at full price. stop kicking and get on with it.

One of the things about being in business is sometimes just going for the long shot, can pay dividends, I think this is especially true in the online world.

Experience has told and shown me that big players will rarely return attempts to reach out to them especially if you are a garage man from garage land.So what the heck just email them anyway and ask the question any chance of getting in on that deal explain your reasoning be polite but put a call to action in your communication.

Nothing like being cheeky at times just go for it.

Two lessons or things that I have been reminded of;

  • If there is something that needs your attention by a certain time or date do it ASAP don't delay or put it off. Do it today.
  • If you are looking for something or need something don't be afraid to ask you know the one don't ask and the result is 100% no, at times we have nothing to lose.

Outcome, I got to access the software and also some other stuff at a discounted rate, oh and the opportunity to make contact with a marketer who I admire and respect immensely.

Now it could have gone two ways, roll over and give up or chance my hand and get a very good result.

A very good reminder for me anyway, so if in doubt walk down the corridor and knock on that door, if no one answers just open it and step on in and introduce your self........... ask the question, the answer may just be a resounding yes.

Thanks for sharing Alexander

You are most welcome Eric, thank you for stopping by.

Insouciance wins the day!

Well said Peter, that casual lack of concern and managing associated risk can become very resounding allies indeed.

Thanks for sharing, Alexander.

Hi Rodger you are most welcome thank you for stopping by.

Thanks for sharing. Love learning from other people's mistakes! Debbie

Classic Debbie, I seem to be making more than the national average of late, so I am not sure that I would make a good example. We can learn so much if we put a positive spin on everything.

Hi Alexander
You are so right, we tend to predict the outcome of certain queries or questions far too often, I got into the habit of just asking, the answer is always a learning curve, and I am never put off by a negative answer, like they say in some circles, ask the question in a way that they cannot refuse. Lol

All the best
Gary

Awesome Gary, the way if the salesman. So true we can create obstacles or we can create outcomes. Thank you much appreciated.

Thank you for that encouragement!

Hi, Lilibeth you are most welcome, if we are not making mistakes then we are not in the game better to be playing than standing on the sidelines.

Thanks for your Monday morning quarterbacking business advice Alex!

That has made my day Mike thank you, hopefully, the ball wasn't dropped but ended up at its destination. Always pays to make opportunities.

Great advice, Alexander. I certainly know the feeling about those screw ups especially the time zone ones. It happens to me more than I want to admit. I also completely agree with knocking on the door of the big boys. After all, what do you have to lose? Worst case is they don't give you the time of day and best case is you get what you want and add another important contact to your list. Take care,

Wayne

Good to see that I am not the only one Wayne, it can create issues at times. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, at the end of the day we do not have anything to lose so going for it can help immensely.

OMG !!I Will Go Nuts If I Hade To Pay Full Price On Something that I New It Was A Better price!!! But Anyways I Admire your Sincerely,,

Sometimes we just have to make decisions Cindy it is after all at the end of the day the value that we can create. I did say that I nearly kicked myself into next week. Just part of the deal at times. All good learning experiences, all the best.

Thank you for sharing your experience Alexander.

A great reminder that if you don't ask you will never know.

Well done and a wonderful result. :)

So true Brendan, if we don't push the envelope we get the same old thing, stepping out and asking can change the game immensely for the better. Thank you for stopping by and true a very good result.
