Don't Over Complicate Your Business Goals

If you are the chief cook and dishwasher rolled into one, the biggest favor you can do for yourself is not to over complicate your job. Over complication is a derivative of not knowing the processes involved or having the skill set to streamline your operation.

You are the head chef of your online business unless you turn that leadership over to someone else in the hope that they will do it for you, invariably they are in it for one thing and it is definitely not about you.

Leadership, some are born with that quality, folks will follow their energy, we need to get through some occasions and showdowns it masks very good sense. Other than that many of us will have to learn on the job, it can be a baptism of fire we are all captains of our own ships.

The quality of leadership is more about who you are, how do you react to situations and most importantly what do you do when your ship has run aground, is on the rocks and taking on excess water. The flip side of the coin what actions are you taking to steer your ship through the breakers to give you clear passage. Do you smile at adversity and take it on board as an opportunity, does your heart shine from the sun?

It is about that question, who are you, what are your values, beliefs and attitudes. If we want to succeed and create sustainability then our focus needs to be on our inner qualities that is where the work is required, not on tricks and techniques that create a false picture. Think deep and give a measured response, always choose your words and apply them with discretion, it is like the publish button once pushed your words are gone forever, show respect, humility, never overplay your hand and never become bigger than the game.

At the end of the day, there aren’t any shortcuts we are not going to develop a thriving business by standing on the sidelines we need to be in the game and fighting in the trenches. To do that we need to learn the skills but most importantly we need to be implementing what we are learning. In the beginning of the online journey we don’t have to reinvent the wheel it is often said that the best leaders started out being followers. If we hope to create sustainability, we don’t need to copy, but model what is already there, we create our presence and add our flavor.

If we listen, still in the silence, the chances are that we already have the inner qualities to create our freedom we have learned them through our life experiences, but because of choices we have sold our time to others, it is now time to claim our time back, time to find our voices.

So leaders in the online world are no different to us as individual players the qualities that they seem to share in common is that they are authentic and transparent and so very keen to share their knowledge but more than anything they are down to earth and the main thing is that they do the basics so very well, in the short to medium term they have stuck to their knitting that is a formula that has been repeated time and again, by the looks of things it works very well.

There is nothing special about that, we are all on the same trajectory, it is our actions and deeds that separate us. The basics that are done well an empire makes. One of the keys is to keep that in focus and take your crew with you whether that is business associates, followers, family, friends or most importantly loved ones. We can all do this take small steps build momentum and end up big that is a good way to go it seems. Develop yourself and give energy to those around you.

Don't complicate it.
