Become An Expert In Your field or Work At Being Proficient
I have been looking at folks that are successful in their business endeavors, one thing that they share in common is the way they engage with their respective businesses, they seem to take it very seriously, and have a total focus.
One of the standouts is they can pick the time to let go, things are happening and the outsourcing and delegation are full speed ahead. They are working on the business and not in it at the earliest opportunity.
How many times have we heard that saying you don’t have to be an expert but it is very helpful if you can track them down and utilize their expertise when you need to.
If we are doing the one person band thing we need to cover all the bases, so at any time of the day, you can be wearing a different cap. It is as though we need to develop the skill of being a micro-specialist. Zero in on what you do well or have a natural bent for, you might not necessarily become an expert. The key is to become proficient with your choices.
The reason being, if we are honest, do we have enough time to become an expert in every field of online marketing and social media.
So don’t sweat it, move forward in the realization that you will become proficient in the one thing that you choose, When you have mastered it move on to the next thing.
How do you measure up in that imaginary world, think about a group of folks following you around all day with their smartphones at the ready recording your every movement, every decision, and task that you are trying to accomplish posting it all on Facebook and You Tube ?
If you are like me I don’t like an audience that level of self-consciousness can be a limiting factor.
How do you measure up at the end of the day, will you be proud or feeling embarrassed and sheepishly rolling out some defensive excuses.
So two cents, work at becoming proficient at some things that attract you, one thing at a time and you will do very well.
I hear you saying that is limiting shouldn't we aim at becoming an expert.
Closing out, in the mind of the expert there are limited opportunities for expression and expansion in the mind of the proficient there are boundless opportunities to keep learning and expanding.

That's very good advice Alex ... master one thing first before moving onto the next. Thanks for sharing :-)
Hi, Gaylene, you are most welcome, it makes so much sense to achieve proficiency before moving onto the next thing.
Great advise Alexander. We should all strive to become an expert in our businesses. People are smart and can sense when you are leading them on with unfounded information. Caution to the wind, always grab at every opportunity to learn more about what it is we are offering.
