One of the most frustrating things for bloggers is that people don't read their full blog posts. You put in hours of work and then no one gets to your end! It's a shame, but it happens. I'm here to help you get more views on your blog posts so you can finally reach all of those potential readers who would love what you have to say about _____(topic).

It can be difficult to get your audience to read your full blog post. With so many things competing for their attention, it is hard to keep them on the page for long periods of time. If you want your blog post to be read, then you need to write something that is going to capture their attention.

There is more to writing a blog post than just throwing it on your website and hoping for the best. You have to know how to get people interested in what you are saying, so they want to read all of your content. Do you want more people to read your blog posts? It is not an easy task, but it can be done with a little effort.

Are you struggling to get people to read your blog posts? Do you know how many people will actually read the whole article that they clicked on from Facebook or Twitter? A study by HubSpot found that only 5% of readers will click past the first paragraph. This means you have less than a one in twenty chance of getting someone to read more than 20 words!

So you have a blog post that is really great and you want to make sure people read it. Here are 5 steps that will help get your audience hooked on your content:

1) Keep it short: Make your content as concise as possible without compromising the quality of the information in the article. The shorter, the better!

2) Include actionable items: People need to know what they can do with what they just read for their lives or businesses to change positively. This could be an exercise, a checklist, or even something like "this is how I'm going to change my life."

3) Be controversial: If there is one thing about human nature we all understand, it's this - people love reading about it.

4) Keep it relevant: Your content should always offer something new or interesting about a topic related to your industry. If not, then why bother reading?

5) Keep Your Content Interesting: It can be tempting to just write one sentence and leave it at that. But what happens when someone doesn't finish reading? They are left with an incomplete story in their head. This is frustrating for most people, so make sure you include enough detail so that they don't feel like something is missing from their understanding of your topic as they scroll down through your content.

You want to be sure that your blog posts are read in full. It's a goal many bloggers have, but one that is difficult to achieve. With all the other distractions online today, it can seem impossible for readers to get through your entire post. It may feel like you're fighting an uphill battle against clickbait and social media updates. But these are the strategies you can use to help make sure people actually read what you write!

When I first joined WA and learned that the goal was to write 1000 words, I had to have a mind shift. Because I believed the shorter the better for the very reason you stated. If it was short enough, I believed people were more likely to read the whole thing.

Now, here I am writing a minimum of 1000 words, and I definitely wonder if anyone reads to the end.

I love your 5 steps. Some of them I hadn't thought of, so now I have some new ideas of how to make my content more engaging.

So, thank you very much, Eugene.

Curiously, you say to make your articles short. The shorter, the better, you say. What do you mean by short?

Lynn

Lynn, the object is not to bore our audience with long posts that don't deliver a message. When I publish posts on the platform, I try to stay within a 500 word limit, but I want to deliver the message with value. The two questions are, What people will get out of the message? and how will the post change their lives?

Ahh, I didn't realize you were talking about posts on the platform.

Thanks for clarifying, Eugene.

I'm guessing it's also true that people all over the internet don't read articles through to the end.

Lynn

Lynn, this is all posts in General but all depends on your niche. One of our members has a guitar niche and has been writing over 2000 words per post because his niche requires specific information. I do 1000+ but less than 1200 for my niche. I started with 2000 about a year and a half ago but saw that people were not reading it, so I went the shorter the better way and right to the point. It worked for me, my traffic increased since then.

For the WA blog I try to do 500 or less. We don't want to bore people but rather provide value.

Okay, thanks, Eugene! Your answer is very helpful.

Hi Eugene
This is so important! Great post.

I've now installed Microsoft Clarity ... a completely free analytics tool that adds to Google Analytics. It contains a number of useful features. One is that it records visitors cursor movements and scrolling activity (incognito) so you can actually see what visitors do on your post or page when they visit. That's very revealing!
:-)
Richard

Richard, thanks for coming and yes I've heard of MS Clarity. I must see what can it do for me. Appreciate your visit.

*** hey hi -- another Excellent post, Eugene! ...

glad to see you, too!

and as someone here once said, 'rank doesn't make bank' or something like that ... i think the person was referring to wa rank vs google ranking ... hopefully ... lol ...

keep well, healthy & happy, cheerio-o ... :)) ***

I never heard that one, Keisha, but it makes a lot of sense! :-)

If you have a post that ranks on page one, but people bounce off it in seconds, then they'll never get to your CTA.

Thank you Keisha, trying to provide value to our members. It's always a pleasure to see you cheerio...

Oh, I can definitely be controversial, Eugene!😳🙄

🤦‍♂️No it isn't so, you Jeff? Can't believe it, you're pulling my leg right? 😁

yes, i think he's definitely 'pulling ur leg!' ... lol ... what a sight! ... it's the creative imagineer at work here ... chuckles! .... :))

I wish I was, Eugene!🤪

Who, me, Keishaoi??🙄

... as kids we'd say, 'who me? ... can't be!' ... lol ...ok jeffoi -- have u seen steveoi swinging about with his ts?' ... :))

Not yet, Keishaoi!😳
