Hello My Dear Friends, Happy Sunday

Why is preparation the key to success?

Preparation is the key to achieving success in anything we do. Not just a halfhearted attempt but a researched, planned, and thoughtful process. When we use a cautious and detailed planning approach we reduce many of the risks associated with any type of change.

Is preparation better than planning?

Preparation gets you ready to actually do the work. Planning is good knowing what you need to do as a great first step. Preparation is even better… it readies you to actually do your work.

In this article I will share with you the reasons why daily and weekly planning is so important and I will also give you some strategies that I use for achieving my goals.

The weekly schedule is important for the overall success of your business but it is the daily planning that will help you to track your progress and determine whether you are on schedule.

Try using significant project milestones in your weekly planning but for daily planning break each milestone down into the necessary components and plan the completion of those components on a daily basis.

The purpose of planning is to develop a blueprint for growing a business. The heart of the planning process is envisioning the actions that must be taken, and the expenditures that must be made, to accelerate the business growth.

Planning includes the plan, the thought process, action, and implementation. Planning is deciding in advance what to do, how to do it, when to do it, and who should do it. The planning function involves establishing goals and arranging them in logical order.

In simple words we can say, planning bridges the gap between where we are standing today and where we want to reach. People think of planning as being about “doing”, but in truth planning is just as much about “knowing”.

If there is only one way of doing something there is no need of planning. Planning has to find out several alternatives, estimate the feasibility and profitability of the different alternatives, and to choose the best one out of them.

Usually, the more time you spend planning something, the more successful you will be. Planning is the process of thinking about the activities required to achieve a desired goal. Planning does not mean everything always works as you intend.

Planning helps you stay professional as you handle those times. Planning keeps you prepared for when things don't go as you hoped. Planning is essential to the survival of everything, from a project to a person.

Planning ensures you won’t get lost or lose focus, and covers as many situations as possible. Planning ahead will help you make the most of that first confusing day. Planning may not be the most enjoyable component of managing projects, but it is the most vital part for reducing risk and failure rates.

Planning is an effort to foresee the future and plan the things in the best possible way. Planning ahead means you won’t have to worry about what will happen tomorrow or next week. Planning helps businesses get a realistic view of their current strengths and weaknesses relative to major competitors.

Planning is essentially a process of deciding in advance what is to be done, when and where it is to be done, and how it is to be done, and by whom. Elaborate planning may create a false sense of security to the effect that everything is taken for granted.

Planning is a time-consuming process because it involves collection of information, it’s analysis and interpretation thereof. This way you will gain more self-confidence, and by planning and preparing you actually may have a bit more control of things.

Have a Happy Sunday, prepare and do your planning!

I've always been a planner no matter WHAT I'm doing. I'm not one of those that can be spontaneous. At work, I had a planner on my computer but I still prefer to write everything out by month/week and in a pen/pencil planner. I can do that now with MY time.

Yes, I like to write stuff too, it helps me to look at it often. Thanks Debbi, have a good time in NY.

I'll leave next Tues.

You have quite a pipeline to great quotes.

Thanks Rosana, just want to make sure that people do their planning before investing their time and their money.

Great post, as usual, Eugene! I plan to wake up each day and tackle whatever comes my way!😎

Enjoy your Sunday!

Jeff

Jeff, I definitely know for sure you're an early bird. I read it every day.

Thanks, Eugene! Much appreciated!
