My last two attempts to use google fetch have resulted in a redirect under the status. One was 5 days ago and no one today. Any Idea what I have done wrong?
I have found that google only asks for http and after I added the https i now get a redirect - but I just let it go because google; redirects ok - well I think it does!!!!
You are welcome and just look to see what google has on you site if it is http then use http OK
Make sure you submit all versions of your website to Google Search Console.
1. http://
2. https://
3. http://www.
4. https://www.
Then choose your preferred version. Always use your preferred version when you "Fetch as Google".
My preferred version is https:// without www.
Hey Peter,
The following post may offer you the help you seek: https://trustiko.com/redirected-status-when-you-fetch-as-google-fix/
You're most likely right Marion.
Thank YOU for correcting my bad, if in fact the post does not offer the correct advice.

Hi - click on Websites, then Site Content.
