I wanted to know if my site has a xyz.wordpress.com URL, then would i be able to register it with DMOZ.ORG?
Could wordpress hosted sites be listed on dmoz.org?

Technically, you could try. But WordPress owns that site. I have not heard that being done but that doesn't mean it's has not been tried. The worst case scenario is they tell you no. So go for it.
