I was performing a keyword search and came across one phrase with high search (over 200,000) and traffic numbers (over 49,000) but the QSR was just 249.

It's very difficult for a new site to rank for keywords with a QSR over 100. Most of your content should be geared towards keywords in that range. If it's a keyword you need to write about I'd still write about, but you might add a few words to the phrase to find a more targeted long-tail keyword that has less competition.

Thank you, Brok. Learning a lot here but still a bit hung up on a few things. I'll definitely heed your advice.

No problem, if you have any questions just let me know. I'm here to help.

Hi Ellen, wow! that would be nice keyword that you've found so just pick it up! ;)
Well traffic means the visitor you may get if your site places on the first Google page. QSR is other competitors who targeted this keyword too and recommended to be under 300 (249 is good in your case).
it the PPC power numbers is higher it's better to advertise via PPC and Article power means if you chose to write an article based on that keyword, you may getting well ranked on search engines better.

Best,
Ali

Thank you very much, Ali.

I would like to upgrade to premium while I'm able to do so at the lower price but I'll be on a trip for the entire month of January 2017 and won't have a convenient way to acce

You can suspend your account at anytime Ellen. Once you're a premium member, you'll always be a member of WA because your account does not go away.

The only thing is if you choose to use the free hosting, you have 30 days to transfer your website to a different hosting provider or your website goes offline.

I recommend using the WA hosting, so that might be the only issue you'll run into.

Hi there,

you can suspend your account anytime you want, you are not under contract or something like that, you are free to close and open your account anytime if in January your are busy, you can stop the renewal, and get back whenever you want :D

Have a great trip in January ! :D

Thank you!

Just to be clear, what I would like to be able to do, is not pay for the month of January but still have the work I've done on my website up to that point preserved so I can pick up where I left off. So I wouldn't really be closing my account but rather, suspending it.

I hope that made sense.

When you suspend your account you will be considered as a free member you will not lose your work you will only have no access to any premium feature.

I suggest you to ask Kyle or someone that has suspended their account before they will explain to you better, I have never suspended my blog but I have heard that you have full control and can suspend and pick up where you left off whenever you want

I have found a relevant question you may want to read it

Thanks so much for finding that for me. That was very nice of you to do and it helped a lot with my question.

Glad I could help, wish you the best and have a wonderful trip!

I have FB and Twitter accounts that have grown over the past few years to over 7 thousand friends and followers. That's the good news.

The potentially bad news, at least

Looks like you already got some good advice on the lists for Facebook.

I personally do not promote any of my content on my personal social media accounts. I have completely separate accounts for my websites.

With that being said, it's fine to use a personal account to promote your content.

I recommend using the groups and lists that you already know about. I would also start by promoting your content to all of your followers and just see how it goes.

You can always change your strategy to only sharing to certain people if you run into problems.

I would recommend starting a separate facebook page, you can promote it to the people on your personal account and if you ever need to stop using your personal account, you'll have people interested in your content that have liked you page.

Brok

I create 'lists' within facebook for various interests. I don't have a lot of followers anywhere else.

Thank you for your comment. I'm wondering, when you say you create lists within Facebook, do you mean "groups"? I've created lists on Twitter and groups on Facebook but never heard of lists on FB?

Facebook as the ability to group users into 'lists' to show content or read content from a specific subgroup of your followers. This is different than the groups function, which can also be useful to build relationships with people not in your personal circles.

Well, ya learn something everyday! ;-) I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to look into it and see if it might be useful in my case.
