If you want to create a Forum/Community on your website, and you are a shop too, should you put the forum on another domain to not hurt SEO/Ranking? Or should you use a subdoma

Need some more info here from someone who really knows...
Kyle?

If you want to have an answer from Kyle directly there are two ways to do it. You can catch him in chat round about 1 o'clock GMT or you can put a question on his profile page. He is unlikely to see your question here so we can't answer it

Ok, thx Catherine!

you are very welcome

I have seen both, but no examples or knowledge of the difference in traffic helping or hurting.

Hey Rune, good one, This is something I might want to do too so I'll hold onto this and check back to see input from those who know more about it.

Great question. I would have thought on the same site for convenience but that's not based on experience.
I will look forward to reading the answers.

Lily 😁

Is "aeroponics how to" the same as "aeroponics - how to" ?

Hi Rune,
Reading feigner comment about google not taking into punctuation account leaves me questioning my own thoughts.

Personally, I would consider them different. I would go with the, Aeroponics-how to?"

Aeroponics vs hydroponics is also good if that really your niche. It has a high QSR but it is below 100

All the best,
Michael

Aeroponics vs hydroponics is clearly another thing I will be writing about in a new post.
I have kind of endless things to write about in this niche Hydroponics.
Now I will concentrate on making a real how-to guide for a system and also a post about Hempy buckets.

I'm of the mind that they are essentially the same. Am waiting to see more of your responses, Rune!

Jeff

google doesn't - at the moment - take into account punctuation.
but with the recent bert update it is looking at the whole article and the keyword would ideally make sense.
so fitting 'aeroponics how to' into a few sentences may be a bit tricky.
have fun
phil

My thinking too...it wouldn't be right in no sentences I think, but as a headliner, it would be fine. (with the - between)

I can ofc say like in this aeroponics how to we will show you...blabla in a couple of sentences I guess.

but remember it is really only part of a keyword
a bit like 'how do i' you would never target that.
would you really type that in - if not complete the keyword

I do actually think "aeroponics how to" is something many searches for...because people want to do DIY, the store-bought solutions suck.
But it was most about using the - in the headliner....then I can begin with a paragraph like this...

"In this aeroponics how to I will learn you the basics of aeroponics. I will not go so much in detail, you will later find step by step instructions with a content list for all you need to build it.
Here in this aeroponics how to I will focus more on the principles behind aeroponics and hydroponics."

Do you think this will be good?

if you are looking for a how to then you are looking for instructions on how to do it - so an explanation for me does not cut it.
as you say people are looking for diy instructions - have looked for them myself as i do hydroponics.
could i just alter your english a bit to
In this aeroponics how to I will teach you the basics of aeroponics. I will not go to much into detail, i will later create a step by step guide with a kit list for all you need to build it.
Here in this aeroponics how to I will focus more on the principles behind aeroponics and hydroponics.

personally i would be jumping back to google and searching for a how to rather than a how does
but good luck with it
phil

hmm..yeah, I get that...It should maybe be 2 articles made at least, and link to step-by-step guide to build it...."Below you will find step by step guide...."

And then I can add more and more step by step guides...I can build many systems in many ways.

remember that the systems are worth more than the components - one of the problems i have with the 3d printer site with spares being cheap
but yeah you can do different diy systems

I am thinking about selling ready-made kits for the DIY`s I make step by step guides for..
I think I can have an enormous profit margin on that if I can just tie together the right suppliers.

Yea, It would be a great keyword to target for a post, but I do need to know for sure if the - does any difference.

good question Rune - I'll be curious to see the answer on that one.

Authoring & Writing Content
Updated

Quick question, When writing content for your site, is it ok to use many of your site keywords in the same post?
(I have seen many videos about it now, but it still have not

You have some good remarks below.
I only add keywords a couple times, more worried about how it reads and if the reader is learning something.

Look at this training from Robert:
SEO training Wishing you success,
David

Kyle said it well and I learned it today in training.

I learned from training that big keywords in the headlines and in the beginning of the article. Just don't repeat the same keyword, google doesn't like it

You can embed some keyword in the article itself, but not build the article out of keywords alone but allow the text to flow.

I don`t want to stuff my articles with keywords, its just that it will be hard for me in my niche to not mention a few words I may use as keywords....
I can`t explain how to build a Hydroponic system f.ex without mentioning growing lights wattage, ballasts, airpumps and a lot of stuff that might be on my keyword list.
But I do understand, Thx all!

Hi Rune,

Just looked at what Kyle has to say about keywords, Here goes:

Here are SIX reasons why I haven't worried about keywords up to this point:
(1) It would be teaching you bad habits if I did
(2) A lot of the time I really don’t care about keywords (they are not your ONLY route to traffic)
(3) Focusing too heavily on keywords can ruin an entire site
(4) Google will punish you if you focus too much on keywords
(5) I like my readers too much to inundate awkward keyword based articles
(6) Every page I write is LOADED with keywords

It's not that I don't care about keywords, I care MORE about my readers and if I lose sight of this I am going to be producing content for, well, a robot. Robots won't convert nor will your site if you only focus on keywords.

We all know Kyle knows what is best.

With the SEO I am using this is the rating I get about keyboards:

Keyword Density is 2.24, the Focus Keyword and combination appears 62 times. This is marked with a green check mark.

On another Post:

Hurray! You're using Focus Keyword in the SEO Title.
Focus Keyword used inside SEO Meta Description.
Focus Keyword used in the URL.
Focus Keyword appears in the first 10% of the content.
Focus Keyword found in the content.

Keyword Density is 0.29, the Focus Keyword and combination appears 17 times.
That was marked with a read X.

There is no ideal keyword density percentage, but it must not be too high.

Be honest I have no idea if this is going to be of any help to you.

I think perhaps you may want to let this post run for a bit so you may get more comments.

Best wishes,
Michael

It's impossible absolutely impossible to write content which is not multiple keywords and it. However, you are intending to rank for one keyword one major keyword.

The other incidental keywords and what is known as latent semantic keywords and it just means related keywords. You can use them again and try to rank for one of those latent semantic keywords.

The short answer is your only aiming to rank for one keyword in any article or content
