I decided I wanted to narrow down my niche to Laser Engraving. Is this too broad a niche and if so how could I narrow it down even more?
*** sounds wonderful to me! ... used to get 'monogramming' done in gold leaf as insignia on gifts such as wallets, purses, bags ... is this still being done today? ... haven't seen it offered as a service in a ver-ry long time ...

There are people here that know more than I do, but I know that you need to research that keyword phrase, and find out what's out there. Do a google search on that phrase. Remember how the audience would look for that. Like would they search laser engraving a mirror? Also, do research in Jaxxy.
I have a broad niche but that allows me to have lots of topics to write about, and you want to be able to have lots of content. But let some others respond before you make a decision.

I looked at Jaaxy results for "laser engraving" and what I saw was really promising. The topic gets plenty of traffic, but not an overwhelming amount. Plus, it looks like the topic has room for endless posts. I say go for it!

Is laser engraving too broad a niche?
I decided I wanted to narrow down my niche to Laser Engraving. Is this too broad a niche and if so how could I narrow it down even more?
I think the niche is great. Go for it. You can start out as it is depending on the type of traffic it is getting today. You can narrow down by types of laser engraving, what you can do with it or products that you can use it on. It all depends on what you are going to monetize.
The nice thing about this niche is I can market to businesses that want laser engraving as part of their business or offer services to customers looking for laser engraving. In fact I have a small business close to me that engraves on wood slabs of all kinds. and they are in the beginnings of their business. I think laser engraving is right now in it's infant/ toddler stage of the industry. It seems to be gaining popularity.
