Over the weekend I was hanging out with a close friend who collects coins, while he was showing me his collection. He told me something very interesting, that I'm going to share with you. He explained to me, the easiest way to get free silver is by going to a bank, or casino, at this point I was confused.

He went on to say, the key here is a trick called silver root hunting, and Earl it has netted many with troves of silver finds. This is how the system works, I was all ears, remember, dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollars that were minted before 1965 were made of silver. Most bank tellers and cashiers are aware of this, so when they spot a silver coin, they will keep the coin.

They keep it, to take it out of circulation, however, there is a caveat. Robert then asked me, how often do you get a half dollar as change or even use a half dollars? My answer was, it has been years, Robert then explain everything to me. half dollars minted from 1965-1970 are made of 40% silver. Which means they are worth more than their face value.

Most of the time, these rare half dollars sit in the banks only to collect dust. You can always simply approach a teller and ask them if they have any half dollars, exchange cash for rolls. Pick out the silver ones and then get the rest of your money back. He went on to say, even if there are no silver ones, you can simply take back whatever you exchanged and get all your cash back.

It is a simple process Earl the pearl, you can also use this beautiful technique at the casinos, because many times, the casinos have half dollars to pay out small blackjack bets. Always remember the half dollars you are searching for are the 90% silver versions, and the 40% silver versions or proof coins. Proof simply means that they were stamped twice at the mint for extra-bold features, Robert explained. They will have a sharper image and will often have the letter S, on the front of the coin.

When you open the roll, it is very easy to see which coins are which by looking at the sides. The post-1970 half dollars are only clad and have copper interiors, while the silver versions are mostly silver colored. After my friend educated me, he took me to the casino to show me how it's done in action. Robert did the process exactly the way that he explain it to me. he winds up finding two silver half dollars, we both were happy and I was amazed.

PS. After the excitement of the fine, Robert decide to try his luck at the blackjack table, it was a bad idea, he lost $1,500

Moral, the sky is not always a thing bright. Thanks for the great post. :)

Good evening, you're actually correct, may you have a wonderful week my friend.

You learn something new every day

Good morning my friend, yes we do have a great week.

I had to chuckle to myself when I read the end bit of your story, Earl!
The best way to get Silver (and Gold) are to buy it direct from the bullion refinery at wholesale price and hang on to it.
I don't know if you or your friend follow precious metal trends but all the analysts and people such as Robert Kiyosaki (Author of Rich Dad Poor Dad) are convinced they're both on the cusp of a major break out as they're currently priced artificially low. Gold is up 15% this year so far. Beats cash in an interest paying savings account any day!
Cheers
Rich :-)

I think you rich, and thank you for that information, yeah I chuckle a little myself a few days later, he's made a lot of money this way however his downfall it's always the casinos, have a beautiful week my friend.

You too, Earl :-)

Thank you my brother.

Interesting. I'll have to try that sometime.

Thanks,

Michael

Way to go to earn from a friend's tip. But the lesson is to keep yours carefully and never put it in a game of chance, chancer are, they will eat them all. that is how it is a lot of times!
