Wealthy Affiliate is Truly a Vessel of Change
I got an email today that I was blown away by. Written by a total stranger, this email told me how he had found one of my reviews online, and felt "rescued" by me exposing a "business opportunity" for the scheme it was.
We put together our reviews with the hopes of getting referrals or click throughs on our affiliate links. But how often do we think of the effect we may have on that person out there so hungry for success that they are this close to being scammed? How often do we think about the hard earned money people end up not losing to an internet scammer because of words we type on a screen?
Jay's live class today focused on us reflecting on the effect we can have on our target audience. He asked us to think of our website as a "vessel of change".
Through our website we can give hope to someone feeling the pressure of all the world on their shoulders, and we can rekindle a dream someone thought they were too old to fulfill.
Instead of just thinking about our bottom line, why not focus on those we can help? Even if your website is about selling comic book backpacks, think about the young kid who's going to wear it. Think about the dad who's gifting it for his son.
And last but not least, as we think of those we can help, let's not forget that Wealthy Affiliate can be a vessel of change for us as well. Turn the goals away from money for a moment, and think of the real spirit of learning and growth we have here, the sense of community, the ways we all help each other, and you will truly appreciate everything WA has to offer us :)

Great talk, man. You'r totally true. When you do something and you only think about how to make money, It will limit you. Keep thinking about the value you can bring to another people, it will give you more motivation, more creative and more passion in what you do.

The more tragedy & heartache I see in the world , the more I realize helping others is how we rescue ourselves from mental poverty which is selfishness. When someone emails you to say thank you for turning a light on, that validates your success right there.
