Do You Ever Feel?

Every single time I take on something new, I get this kind of rush.

Have you felt it before?

It's that rush where you're embarking on something brand new, and your mind can't help but already be thinking of all great things that will come from it.

Maybe you join a gym, and you're excited about the results you're going to get because you are absolutely going to stick to your workout schedule this time and you can't wait to see the transformation.

Or maybe it's something even more subtle, like changing certain habits, eating habits, sleeping habits, not going to bed so late, not drinking so much alcohol, being more productive.

And on the initial push, we're unstoppable right?

We're dedicated. We're loving it.

And then we can hit that lull.

Maybe it's a week in, or maybe it's a month in. Something happens and knocks us out of the new routine and back into old habits.

Without even realizing it we are breaking all the new rules we set out for ourself.

How do you react?

Are you the kind to just give in and go back to your old habits?
Or do you snap out of it and jump back on the horse?

Building a business is no different.

There WILL be hurdles.
There WILL be obstacles.
There WILL be valleys.
There WILL be let downs.
There WILL be failures.
There WILL be frustrations.
There WILL be times you wonder if you're making any progress.

WHEN these things happen, how do you respond?

Do you fold? Or do you become even more stubborn with your success and push even harder back?

You're in complete control of the decision you make. But I can tell you from experience there's a flip side to all those obstacles we just listed.

Winners push back.
Winners find the strength to leap over hurdles.
Winners ride out the valleys to find the peaks.
Winners know the high that comes from conquering a let down.
Winners know that failures are the building blocks to successes.
Winners know that frustration is just part of the learning curve.
Winners know that you never notice how far you've gone when your head is down working, but when you stand up to take a look, you're miles from where you started.

You're worth putting in the work.
You can already see just how much you're learning.
Your goals are in your personal growth first. Monetary ones can only come after.

So keep pushing.
Keep working.
Keep making those sacrifices.

The hardest part is behind you.
You've found the perfect vehicle to get you to your goals.
You've found the road map.

Now, you just gotta put in the work.
:)

Yes I still get that rush, normally when I am writing content. I can put my head down and the next thing I know 3 hours have flown by.

It’s normally at this stage my wife is tapping her toe and saying subtle things like. It isn’t lunch any more, it’s dinner.lol.

And yup this is a very challenging month for me, and my productivity will not be as high…but ..I will still just keep moving forward and writing.

Stephen

Great share :) Keep pushing forward!

It seems that your list applies both to life and business, but I think you intended for us to see the likeness.

I have gotten to the point where, after the first exasperated "oh, no," I start to look for a solution. When you commit to something, the problems must be solved as you go along. So far so good, for me.

Amen to that.
And for all of us, when you KNOW the bumps are coming, it's like you prepare yourself for them and they're not a surprise. You're ready, and that's what matters.

Keep up the great work, Fran!

Feeling that initial rush when starting out on a new endeavor is never forgotten Eric!

It's trying ones upmost best to sustain it that can prove problematic!

Totally agree that personal growth will come first and any monetary gains secondly!

Is it time to eat in Texas now? It certainly is right here and I am off to find myself a (healthy) evening meal!

Take care my friend!:-))

Haha you too!

Appreciate the thought provoking and thorough feedback my friend!!

Some excellent words of encouragement here, Eric! I remember an old saying ending with this: "Daily, Weekly, then WEAKLY"!

Basically, we must have a positive attitude, no matter what, and continue to persevere!

Very true!

Since first joining WA premium, I've had many hurdles, obstacles, valleys, let downs, failures, and frustrations.

And, at times l wondered if I was making any progress.

What came out of all of that for me was a learning experience.
The more these things happened to me, the more I learned.

It made me see what is possible and it's also why I'm still here.
I will keep knocking down those obstacles as I move forward.

I'm off to take your live class I missed on Thursday!

That's the only attitude you can have when you want to succeed. It's all part of the process :) Hope you love the class!
