I've been on a video kick lately, and I don't think there's any end in sight. Not only embedding video into a post, but creating them as well has completely changed my content creation process.

All this coming from someone who felt behind the curve on basic post structure when I first got to WA. So if writing content isn't your strength, don't worry! Things get better! Training starts to fall into place! Stay at it! Be confident!

My last several posts have all included video that I've put together using Screenflow. (I really like Screenflow. If you're thinking about creating video in the future, it's worth it). There's an added challenge to doing this in that it really is like you're composing 2 pieces of content. The huge upside to it is, of course, that you feel like you're getting twice the exposure once you've published it. You have a video on YouTube and an article on your website. The challenging part of it is, well, you feel like you're putting together 2 posts, which technically you are.

My personal challenge with screen flow is the narrating part. I'm a perfectionist and I want to speak clearly with as few "uhhs" and "uhmms" as possible and because of this I'm constantly stopping recording and starting over.

I should probably think about writing a script, should I? I'm stubborn like that.

As your website begins to grow, so will the dynamics of your post content. You might start adding video, you'll get better at adding images, your overall post design will get better, and so on. It's amazing how the training here starts us all off from scratch, and before we know it, we're putting together posts we never thought possible.

We have an incredible platform here, don't we? As you continue on your path, take inventory every now and again of just how far you've come. Growth comes slowly, but over time, it really does take you a very long way.

Don't forget that :)

The knowledge will incrementally develop you!

It's a great ride along the way too! Thanks Big Mike!

thanks good post

Thank you Abdul!

Thanks Eric. Great post! My biz coach wants me to do 30 videos in 30 days and that seems so overwhelming for me since I have never done a single video.

30 vids in 30 days is definitely a challenge. I think if you get on a roll with it, the first few may seem daunting, but then you may find a sweet spot where you're able to knock them out. The great part is that even if you don't get all 30, you'll still create a great amount of content even if you fall short of your goal :)

Thanks Eric. I agree. It forces me into action and that is really the point. :)

Yes ma'am... Get it girl! :)

Hi Eric, a very enjoyable post. Irv.

I love the way you teach Eric...you're easy for a non-techie, like me, to understand. ;)

Will be visiting you often! Thanks soo much!

~Evon :)

Aw thank you! I appreciate that!

My pleasure buddy! :) Blessings on you!

So true Eric. That's why I cannot just check the lessons and skip it because you have to do your work. If you have checked a single step meaning you have faithfully finished what you ought to do and that would be a part of your own site's growth.

Absolutely! Even what look like tedious steps should be completed. When you don't follow through you only cheat yourself. Never skip any part of the training, it will be abolutely benefit you in the long run!

Great to read and thanks for sharing

Glad you enjoyed it, Paul. Thank you!

Good stuff!

This is really great to get done more things day by day :)

The training is great and when you stick with it, good things happen :) Thanks for the comment!

Good going Eric. Nice work

I appreciate that, Pablo. Thank you!

Great post, Eric - thanks for sharing.
Scripts are great to a point, but they can sound robotic and almost as bad as 'umming and uhing'. So long as it doesn't sound like you're reading from a script it's a great idea. I don't usually manage to watch videos to the end if the person presenting them doesn't seem to have prepared or planned what they're going to say :-)
Rich

I hear you man. That's why I've always stayed away from them. But after the tenth time stopping and starting over you definitely start thinking about writing a script down lol. I'll get better I'm sure. Thanks for the comment!
