There is a 30-minute delay on messages to new members - the automated message "Welcome Message - Upon Joining" if a new referral signed up. I was able t

I would say 5 min or less. 30 min is far to long!
Best,
Marcus

Hi Marcus! Thank you for sharing your opinion!
Have a great day, Andre

Thank you so much for your votes! I am pleased about the good feedback. I see, the topic is quite relevant!

I think 5 minutes is the way to go. in the first minute doesnt give people the chance to look around. but 30 minutes is too long. People can loose interest because they don't understand everything they are seeing and the Welcome message makes people feel like they as an individual are recognized. That recognition is important to people trying something new because things overwhelming after a few minutes.
I personally what to look at things before I get bombed with welcome messages, pop-up and advertisements. Also I've found when you recognize someone as an individual instead of a group of member, it seems to make interactions go smother and easier and user traffic increases.

Thank you Jessica! I am pleased that the topic is being discussed so controversially!

30 minutes is oke with me, it has been over 4 hours

I didn´t know about the 4 hours! Then 30 minutes are an real improvement - but I still do not believe the best solution!
Thank you!

C) Within the first Minute?
If I knock on your door and it takes you one half hour to open it and greet me then you either are not home or do not want to welcome me into your "place".
I think within one min is top notch and five is borderline impolite and 30 is just plain discourteous.

Thank you Alice!

I agree quicker is better.

Thank you Steven!

I am totally a newbie within WA, only been a premium member since 3/26/18. However, I have a lot of experience form a business perspective.

I understand the desire to have an instant "Welcome"; however, most people are simply going to blow it off as an automatic response, totally void of personal type o response. The new member is going to know 100% without a doubt that the "Welcome" was just and auto response back to them.

I am probably going to be going against the grain, so to speak: however, that 30 minute "Welcome" is designed for the intent to bring the new member back to our site a second time. That is why it is 30 minutes after the registration. The new member is already on our site when they register. This is just another method (or a reminder even) to let the new member know, we acknowledge they joined, and to hopefully direct them back.

Just a thought...for what its worth...

Ted

Maybe, Ted.

At least it makes sense to me. I know that the younger generation (I will be 58 next Monday, I am talking about the 30-year-old's and younger) are into he "instant gratification". But, that is all it would be, an instant gratification. The new member isn't going to come off the WA site, and then go right back in, because we sent them a automatic welcome message while they were just on the site. Kyle and Carson's intent is to bring them back to the site once they log back into their email ... this way the welcome message gives you a "two for one"...it is a Welcome to WA, and it is more importantly being used as a tool to bring the new member back to the site a second time.

Good point Ted! Probably you are right!

I just have a problem with the fact, that the new member does not immediately have a face or a contact person - he has Kyle,Carson and the Referrer as followers. But no contact or face for the first question or help!

I want to be immediately visible as a help and support for the new member, not just after 30 minutes (if they may already be gone!)

The first impression counts for new members. If new members feel overwhelmed or unable to cope, they leave the page. And they do not come back after a message from Kyle, Carson or the "unknown" Referrer. I'm sure - a lost chance!

Understand that....so then we develop something for the end of the registrations system, while they are still on our WA site to do that.

To see the welcome message, the new member would have generally already left the WA site even if the message was instantaneous.

What you are desiring needs to happen while they are on the site immediately after they register. Which would make more sense. And then they would still have a welcome message to help bring them back again later.

Just a thought....

Yes, that could be a solution...

I believe it should be instantly! When someone pushes that join now button it should trigger the welcome message to go out immediately. It is scary for someone who is not sure if they are going to scammed and to when they enter the site they are often confused as to what direction to go. I'v had them say they are lost the minute they get inside.

Also, due to some leaving the site, it probably affects the conversion rate. If they don't come back, you have lost a possible premium sign up.

Exactly my opinion! Thank you!

Yeah, I had the same chain of thought about 30 mins. I'd opt for a 5-min or 10-min delay

Thank you!

I agree that it should be shorter than 30 minutes since that leaves the newbie alone in the wilderness so to speak.

I think that there is a notification early on that notifies the referring member that they have a new follower, but it does not mention this is a new member.

As a result, the referring member may not immediately come to the new member's aid in finding things.

Sheila

Thank you Sheila for your opionion! Hope we find many who do not like the 30 minutes and can change it!

I have affiliate partners and website for german market and now want to grow outside germany. I look forward to your recommendations...
Thanks Andre

Hey Andre,

You should be able to gain a list of affiliate programs from Google searching something like "dental insurance affiliate program" (without the quotation marks, of course).

Hope this helps you.

Hi Trish, i did this before. There are lots of programs, but i haven´t the time to check them all. I´m searching for 1-2 recommendations, programs that work and can be trusted, to start my international dental insurance website.
Can you reccomend one?
Thanks, Andre

Okay Andre, best wishes.

Hi Beate,
