I hear that Google will punish you if you have to many affiliate links on your pages. Can someone check my pages and tell me if I have to many links?

Definitely as Ian says there is no definitive answer, but common sense kicks in on two counts. First of all if you have too many links your readers will leave in droves, Google analytics will tall you if this is the case. Also if you have too many links you give your reader too many choices and like children they will not know what to do - so they will do nothing As Kyle's training suggests review two products and come firmly down on one side - less is more

There's no definitive answer as to how man yis too many. It's more down to whether you have a decent amount of content on a page and it appears to a normal person ( or what Google's algorithms thinks is a normal person ) that you aren't trying to push any product too hard.

An easy way to get an idea is to look at the sites that show up on page 1 for your niche.

How many affiliate links do they have on the home page and on a typical review page? That will give you an idea about what's acceptable in your niche.

But also bear in mind how much content they have on these pages too. Make sure your reviews and articles are equal in length or longer - but without sacrificing quality.

Good question... Let expert answered on this ...

What do I do to get the social group icons on my site? Did I miss something in the training? Also I just completed course 2 training 10. Is that the end of the trainings?

Welcome to WA. I would suggest looking at the Sumome plug-in. It has the social buttons you are wondering about along with a lot more. It's also one of the more popular plugins used here. Best of success to you.
Barry

It's possible that they're not included with your WP Theme in which case you can install any number of plugins to do the job like this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-social-icons I don't recall it being talked about in training but can't say for sure.

Thanks SZev!
You've also helped me for the future!

Glad to help Therese!

No, you didn't miss anything. Facebook, twitter, etc. will be discussed later in the training.

Thanks Stuart for your reply!

Hi. There are 5 Certification Courses and social media is covered within Course 4. You would need a social media plugin. So, go into your dashboard, click on plugins, then add new. Choose the Popular tab, and If you type "social" in the search bar, you will get a lot of choices. Pick one that a lot of people use and one that is updated (it will show that information). Then you just install and activate it. :)

Thanks for such a fast reply!!

You haven't reached this point yet in the training, but there is the information in case you wanted to put social icons on your site now. :) Have a great day!

When I leave a comment on something and then post it, next to my picture it says premium, but next to that it does NOT say follow me like everyone else's does. Whats up with

Lol.., Thanks! I feel like a dummy!

That is because you are viewing your own profile and you can't follow yourself so the system recognizes that.

Fantastic answer, I was wondering, too.....
