Fitness Inspiration (and website re-designed)

Hello WA community!

A special long'ish message today, hopefully, you'll find some inspiration or motivation from this.

One of my longest-term failures is my FITNESS level.

I have been wanting to have a "six-pack" for a decade.

I still have a ONE-pack!

I remember 10 years ago deciding I want to do it, buying protein powders, eating 6-meals a day, exercising daily, and so on.

Literally, nothing happened.

I have a very fast metabolism, I can eat like a pig and stay skinny. It is highly frustrating!

I genuinely fell into apathy about this subject after a few years of trying (that was 10 years ago).

At the beginning of this year, I took a break from social media for a month and re-grouped about my personal goals, my business, and so on. I did some personal development activities during that time that I wanted to concentrate on 100%.

I made a new year resolution that I am going to finally hit that goal of getting into the best shape of my life.

In January 2019, I found an excuse to go to the gym - a free trial for 1 week.

During that week, I had a personal trainer who cared enough to come over and check on me and my goals and my progress. I have never been to a gym in my life before that. I just tried things at home, but NEVER at a gym.

Working with this personal trainer for those few days, gave me a small light that maybe it is possible to achieve my goals.

So I paid for a 3 months membership (knowing I am due to go to Israel for a visit for a month, and probably moving back to Western Australia - I was living in Sydney at the time).

I was consistent for these 3 months, and my goal was just to stay consistent and go 3-5 times a week. If I just did that, regardless of any progress, I would be very happy. I am extremely undisciplined about my fitness.

I went back to Israel and was there for 2 months. In that time, my sister and I began an accountability program together, and we went for a walk in the mornings (not always, but we tried), did stretches, and a bit of exercise.

While in Israel, I also met in person my cousin who I haven't seen in 16 years, and he's 39 years old, father to 4 kids, and he is ripped as hell.

I've been seeing on Instagram for a while, and finally, when I was in Israel we met and did a training session and he gave me some incredibly simple and useful fitness tips.

His tips, as well as his results, totally inspired me to really take action consistently once I got back to Australia, and so since I've been back I've been consistent on a daily basis.

Exercise every day, keep track of my food, sleep, schedule, protein shake daily, etc.

Throughout the year I have accumulated reasons to really stay motivated and inspired to actually stick it out with my body goals.

I have like 2 awesome WHYS for doing it, and I am holding onto that motivation very hard so I can persist in the coming months.

I wanted to share this so you know we all have goals and struggles. And I wanted to share one personal struggle of mine. The key is to continue to persist, no matter how long it takes.

Hope you take this inspiration to take just ONE goal of yours and do something about it today. Confront that goal. Find (or re-find) your inspiration and WHY for that goal, and get going!
