Any Movie Bloggers?

Hi, WAers,

After much thought, I decided to open a second site. The niche for my first site is dead these days, so I have to diversify in the meantime.

I decided to go for Mexican movies, which is another one of my passions. However, what's stopping me is the use of images. I've done a lot of research only and only found conflicting answers. I could use generic images here and there, but I will need images of celebs, posters, movie stills, etc.

Now, I don't know if it matters, but I will mainly focus on movies from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. I might eventually expand into more recent movies, but I'm not sure yet.

Does anybody here have a movie blog? I need some guidance.

Thanks!!

So now the next step is figuring out how to monetize a movie blog like that. I know a couple of movie bloggers, and it was a bit tough, but not impossible. I know that they both work with ad networks, but from an affiliate perspective, you can offer things like movie DVDs, books, etc.

I found these on the ShareASale.com affiliate network:
https://www.moviezyng.com/
https://www.fivefingertees.com/
https://horrorpack.com/

Perhaps you could also add the travel aspect into your site - go visit the locations where the movies were filmed.

Just some thoughts....

Hi, Jeannine,

Thank you, I've got a couple of affiliate programs covered.

What do you mean regarding ad networks? Is it something like Google Adsense?

Your idea about incorporating travel to a movie site is great. I already applied it to my travel site.

Do you have any pointers regarding images? I'd hate to run into problems later on, but I'll definitely need images for my posts and the kind I need is not usually found in Pixabay or similar platforms.

Thanks!

For Ad Networks, I believe they both work with Mediavine, who has a high requirement for visits before they accept you.

Regarding images, I can say with both of my networks, if you've been approved into the merchant's program, you can use the images on their sites or in their datafeeds to promote their programs, but not for anything else that is not related to them.

Oh, I see. I'll look into those networks you suggested.
Thanks!

I'm not a movie blogger - but i'm definitely interested in reading blogs about movies. Sounds like a good niche
