SAC Update - First Week of May
First week of May and my SAC website is coming along. I have 8 posts published and 2 more in the works. When those are published I will still have 2 more to go until May 20th. I will be doing a pay per click campaign as part of the affiliate boot camp. Been holding off on doing that because I want to make sure I dot all the I's and cross all the T's before putting money down on PPC. I'm thinking of having a professional writer write a review of Wealthy Affiliate and using that for the PPC campaign.
One bad thing happened. I had my Pinterest account permanently suspended for my new SAC website. I tried using pretty links to change my WA affiliate link in some of my Pins and I guess that was a no no. Pinterest didn't even give me a chance to delete the Pins. So that rubbed me wrong but there is more social media outlets to use then Pinterest.
A warning to those using pretty links to cloak your affiliate links on Pinterest... Don't do it! I have done it in the past with another website but they must be cracking down now.
Other than that the site is moving along nicely. We are lucky to have WA. I couldn't do it without the help of this wonderful community. Hope you all have a great rest of the week and have a fabulous weekend. Oh and Happy mother's day to all the beautiful mother's out there!

Thanks for the heads up on Pinterest.
I do hear conflicting feedback on use of affiliate links with Pinterest. There are some people who said it is ok when we 'disguise' it using pretty links. Have you tried that? And did it work?
For me, I mostly post updates about my blog posts about affiliate marketing and some blog posts promoting WA with affiliate links on the blog post. Have not posted WA links directly yet or using Pretty links yet.
I think it was the Pretty links that got me banished from Pinterest. I think Pinterest finally caught on to pretty links because I used it in the past for another website and never had a problem.

Will just simply share links to my blog posts.

I didn't know Pinterest was against Affiliate Marketing... Wow, I have been using it a lot and haven't had any issues... Sorry you had that experience.

You know, that's interesting...
Last week, some of the posts were removed from my Facebook page, and some of them had Pretty links. So they don't like links with WA in them, and they don't like Pretty links. I understand cloaking, and don't do it, but if you're using as intended to shorten, not to hide or redirect to unrelated content, then I wonder why they're being removed. SM's don't have the time to verify each one, so just decided not to allow it at all I guess. I know a lot of people use them though, so I wonder how they're holding up, or if others are slowly realizing it's happening to them, too.
