Amazon Sales Have Increased!

It's been a little while since I have last posted an Amazon sales update here's a link to my blog post back in August 2019:

Since that time I'm now averaging about $50 a month from amazon commissions. These commissions are coming from 3 separate websites and it's not life changing amounts but it's a testimony that the training here on WA does work.

In August, I had just started making sales and they were really small a dollar here and their. Just a few months later in November sales increase many times over.

I know the holiday shopping season contributed a lot to those sales but they are still continuing to come in so with the help of Wealthy Affiliate I'm doing something right!

Just thought I would share this success with you and I believe sales will start picking up even more than my websites mature and I add more content.

My advice to you is to be patient! Most people give up way before they start seeing results. That is why the failure rate for affiliate marketers is so high. It's not because affiliate marketing is difficult it's because of people just giving up too soon.

Affiliate marketing is a business. Give it time to thrive and it will.

Be Determined, Be Consistent, Be Patient and Success Will Find You!

It's been a little over a year since I started on this journey and I'm just starting to see growth. Look at it like the first year is a learning time and after that things will start to grow.

New Websites Take Longer To Rank In Google

Brand new websites can take up to 35 weeks before you start seeing high rankings for your articles in Google. That's right 35 weeks or 8 months and once you have proved your website as an authority in your niche Google will start ranking your content much quicker.

I have heard that Google has a patented software that they put new websites through that suppresses their rankings and slowly tests them in the search results for a period of 35 weeks and after that period your articles will be at their height in the rankings.

So with Google allow 35 weeks before you know if an article that you wrote is going to rank well or not. Patience Grasshopper :)

Bing Is Another Story

On the other hand Bing will rank you much quicker than Google. Most of my number 1 rankings are on Bing and that's where I get most of my organic traffic. Bing is still gets 33 percent of the lions share of search volume so I do contribute most of my sales on Amazon to Bing.

There are many best of posts that I have written that are less than 35 weeks old so I'm waiting to see the results for them on Amazon. Once you can get first page rankings on Google than sales should exponentially increase on Amazon.

If you can rank well on Bing when your site is new that can kind of give you an indication that you might get good rankings on Google. For me time will tell

Conclusion

Stick to your guns! Keep writing quality content and let it marinate in Googles sandbox for 35 weeks! While you are waiting for Google keep an eye on Bing because you might be doing well their. If your doing well, rank wise on Bing that should give you the encouragement to keep going because you can rest assured success is just around the corner!
