You learn how to build web-sites. You use them to earn money. You get affiliated, sell there products and get commision. They take the orders, send out the product and get paid. You get paid from those businesses for sending the client to their website. Short version, but if you click the green "get started here", it is all explained on the first few pages. Easier to understand if you go there, good luck :-)
If you haven't already, click on "get started here" (green box top left) and you will go through level 1 training, which should teach you all the basics of how you will earn money online.
To put it simply: You need to create a website (which is free) and you can make money by promoting products.

you can be paid via Paypal check or direct deposit. It depends on the affiliate program.
