Here's a training by Kyle about how to have photos with your posts: Making Use of Visuals With regard to your question about backlinks, I am not yet aware of tools we can use on how to disown the links pointing to us except for the Wordpress comment approval system.

When a wordpress site links to us, wordpress has an automated system telling us that a site has linked to us. That's "pingback".

To validate the linking, sometimes we are asked to approve the pingback through the comments section. So, if you think the links were created for bad purposes, then simply disapprove the pingback/s.

Helpful links: Should we allow trackbacks and pingbacks? So What The Hell Is A Pingback and What Should You Do About Them? But again, pingback is only for wordpress. If the linking site is not in wordpress, then this is not applicable.

Also, there's a thought that even if you disable or disapprove, there's nothing you can do if a site wants to link to you unrelated. That's a dark strategy of those bad guys wanting to bring down a site.

Instead of worrying about them, just go on and do the right thing with your own site like putting out quality content and good internal linking.
