Low energy struggles

This past week has been a challenge!

There were a few days this week that was completely full with my offline work.

However, I think the biggest issue has been feeling so tired from the work, but more than that, due to the season and temperature changing so rapidly here in Toronto.

I've decided to step-up my vitamin D supplementation and try to get more natural light into our living space. I'm going to drink my green smoothie a little earlier in the day. And I have been learning about and using essential oils. I've also sourced a full-spectrum lamp which I'm going to be picking up later today.

So far this morning, I am feeling a lot better and alert than I have the past week. I don't know if it's a psychosomatic thing, but I will take it because I have been so exhausted, low and unmotivated!

If any of you have any tips and suggestions you can add, I'd appreciate it. Happy Friday!

Don't feel alone... This week has been quite energy challenging for me too :) I couldn't put my finger on it 100% and even though I really have some great reasons to do stuff... I just didn't attack it with the vigor I was planning to attack it with...lol

Be kind to yourself and let yourself enjoy some chill time. I did a bit further research and watch a video by Roger Hamilton regarding our flow of energy. We have different flows for different things we need to do, like talking to people, getting creative, checking the numbers, getting in touch with the spiritual side of things etc. Most of the time and I am huge culprit is to try and do it all at the same place every day when we would actually be better off managing our energy better and working in our flow.

Thank you so much for the support and kind words!

I do have a tendency to get down on myself. In the past that has led me to abandon and give up on projects. :(

I feel as though I have gotten off-track this week, but I feel it is growth for me that I have shared my struggles here and know that I can get back on track.

I too hope that you are being kind to yourself and I am behind you in supporting your flow, as well!!

You are very welcome... :)

Have thought for a second... What did you learn this week or what growth did you have in another area of your life? Like you said sharing on here is growth for you. Is there anything else that you learned very valuable?

My main personal focus and offline work is in personal growth, so this is something I think about all the time! :)

This week, I have yet again learned that whatever worst case scenarios I dream up because of my fears and then stress about, are not a reflection of actual reality.

I have experienced quite a bit of uncertainty and hardship in my life enough for my subconscious to expect that every unknown can end up in certain devastation.

Of course, if I'm to think about it with any kind of rationale, I know that I'm not some kind of fortunate teller, so I really have no way of knowing. And yet, the fear that it could be...

It's not really a new learning as much as yet another reminder that this is a place I find myself going to that is not only not useful, it's distressing. Maybe there will be a day when I will be immune, or at least not be so impacted, by my fears so that I can move through my days feeling more grounded and less paralyzed.

As John Lennon famously said, “Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.” It's one thing to know it, it's another thing to believe it deep in the heart and soul.

Maybe you are not as off-track as you may think ;) By the looks of things you have learned lessons to be grateful for. Maybe if you were working online you may have been too distracted to learned that lesson... who knows? As you say :)

To live a life thinking only good things can happen is a fantasy life, it is not possible. Looking at the universe there is always a balance, up/down, positive/negative, night/day etc. The key is to live more in the center of our two emotional extremes and it helps to see the challenges we face not as in the way. They are on the way :)

What are times that you have felt grounded before ?

Thank you again, Rohan.

What I philosophically believe is that life isn't necessarily about positives and negatives, but to think in this way can be a shorthand or even a conveniently simple way that many of us desire to understand the complexities of things that happen. Not only do good things happen and bad things happen, SO MUCH happens in our experiences from moment to moment that can be challenging to articulate or categorize!

But again, it's one thing to know it, and another thing to truly truly KNOW and GET it. :)

When I feel the most grounded is when I find myself in the service of someone else. I am grateful that my offline work allows for me to do so and feel grounded on a regular basis, but it can also be very tiring, too.

It's my hope that I can also feel this way more often while working on my online efforts, as well!

You are welcome and thanks for sharing and chatting with me about this... Always great to have a deep conversations :)

Right and wrong really is a perception. I find it a better way to see things and which helps explain life a lot easier is to see things in terms of our higher values. We are naturally going to be more inclined to do things we value more than those we don't... Ever have those times where you feel you MUST do something, or you feel you SHOULD to do something, or you NEED to do something? When we say words like that it usually means they are tasks that are not high only value system and are values we think we should have.

Things we value most we don't need or must do, we do them naturally with out a blink of an eye and would probably miss out on sleep to do those things :)

Knowing that you feel grounded on a regular basis is good to know... You can then move through your days with less fear because you are being grounded every day through service. Building an online business is greatly about being in service to other people as well. We help solve peoples problems online. To make the connection stronger for you, you could try a connection exercise and attached benefits of building an online business to your highest values. The more attachments you make the more likely you will feel that grounded ness. Write out 200 reasons why building a business online will serve you desired to serve other people.

And then call me in the morning... hehe :P

And thank you for engaging me in my tendency to be firmly embedded in my head!

I have been thinking a lot about our discussion thread here the past few days. And it has shed light for me in how I can get stuck in my head... especially when it comes to IM.

It's a struggle for me to get out of my head and to start putting action into practice. The other drawback to being too much of a thinker is that I can mistakenly think that I know things or at least think that I know more that I do. So I love that our discussion here has allowed me to realize that I can learn a lot by engaging. Again, thank you.

I am going to focus on doing the exercise you suggested today. The one thing I have often struggled with is in being able to articulate benefits. Can you suggest a resource or provide advice on how I can better understand the difference between features and benefits? I don't know why I get so stuck on this.

I am very grateful for this exchange and your time! Happy Monday!!

That is excellent news :) I feel honoured that I was able to help and I am glad that we engaged in the conversation. Thank you!

Now that you are more aware of getting stuck in your head you can start developing strategies to get yourself out your head and remind yourself which is fantastic. Best thing I ever did was to change my mindset from one of I know it all to one of what can I learn with this. There is always something to learn even if we hear something a million times :)

I don't have a resource off hand regarding features and benefits. My understanding is a benefit is something that a feature can create. For example. Here at WA one of the features in the Keyword Research tool... The benefits of this is that is free with membership so it saves me money, it is here in one place so it saves me time as well. Another example lets the website builder and hosting. Benefits are that the technical side is taken care of for me. It is fast so that saves me time, another benefit it is all hosted in one place so I benefit by not have to login to different hosting accounts etc.

Make a bit more sense?
