these kinds of tags are very helpful. Don't forget to use your alt tags in images as well. Both will help you get found.

As a rule of thumb, anything that is "better" for your readers (appearance wise, content wise, engagement wise) is almost always better for your search rankings. Google is looking for the best content and the best experience, that is what they continue to evolve their algorithms around. If that is your focus, they will start to find you at a higher rate and also start to rank you much better.

I'm considering using a static page as a Home page and putting my blogroll on another page. What are the pros and cons of this?
You may find the answer to that in the thread below Is there a benefit to having a static page vs. a blog roll? Hope this helps =)

I would always use my real identity on my sites. I'm promoting something and want people to be able to connect with the person promoting. There may be cases where you want to remain anonymous. In that case, just set up your site as usual and the about page can be a generic one where you just explain what the site does and so on without having to get personal. I don't really see a problem witht that. But yeah, I prefer sites that have real people behind them that you can relate too. I think it helps on the level of trust.

I found a do,aim name that I like, but the .com is considered a premium domain. Obviously, I'm not paying $900 for the domain. Should I change the name or buy the .org
If you wish to have your own domain, yes, Dave - as opposed to a sub-domain off the SiteRubix side - those are free. They CAN rank in SEO, but it's a wee bit more difficult.
OH, and I typically use NameCheap for domain names, but WA now offers it also - new feature.
Hi. You can go with the .org if you really are set on the name, or you can change it somewhat to get close to what you want and have a .com. Kyle addressed the issue of what extensions are best, here is a link to his blog: What Domain Extension Should You Choose for Your Website?
Agree with Michelle....I like to use .com whenever possible, even if I have to add a word at the end. BUT, if you check the .com website of the name you want AND you think you can outrank it, then go for the .org or .net. But, be sure you can outrank the .com with SEO or it may be a total waste - sorry to say. Kyle's post will likely mention the same.
It's actually not a kw specific domain. It's a domain for an authority site so it's a name I'll use for branding. I'll have to think on this a bit more I suppose.

I was looking at my WA referral stats. It shows that today I've had 28 raw clicks and 23 unique clicks. I understand the difference between the two. I'm just wondering if there
There are not referral stats no, but you can add tracking to your websites pages if you like (that are promoting WA).

You can create tracking links there if you like and do know that the content you create here at WA (if it gets indexed in Google), you get full credit for or if it is shared without an affiliate link, you are credited too. So that could be the source of it if you have not been sharing it all that much. . ;)
Thanks. I haven't created content yet, so that isn't it. It could be just freelancers passing the link around. I was just surprised, because I didn't actually share the link in groups. I messaged it to like 5 people... they may have passed it along.
Yeah, that could be it. I wouldn't be too fixated on it at this point if you don't have an actual source of traffic, a website in place, etc. It could have been the 5 people that you messaged, hopefully you capture one or more of their interests. The most effective way to promote WA is to show them what they can accomplish (in terms of their own niche site) instead of selling the opportunity.
