I'm celebrating a milestone for my site so I wanted to share! I've just finished writing my first "top ten best of" style post for my site. I have been writing individual reviews of products, aiming for longer content at 2500 words, but I have seen many successful sites where the posts are in a top ten format instead, with more than 3-4000 words. Since google loves long quality content, I thought it was time to give it a try. It's taken me all week to get my template nailed, figure out tables,

Wow, does anyone else feel like that month went really quickly?I feel like the year has started with a real bang for me, and I'm excited about what the rest of 2019 will bring for my website. I've decided to do brief monthly progress reports, partly as a self motivator, and, hopefully, in a year or so, people will be able to look back on them as inspiration and a true timeline of how things might go for their own website. What were my expectations going into this month?- to write at least two p

I've been lost in the world of small children for a while now with my two beautiful little boys who have entered my life since I started my journey with wealthy affiliate. I'm just now feeling like my head is ready to get back in the game and Ihave a really excellent plan for 2019. I'm so excited! To cap it off, I got an email the other day informing me of a $130 commission from a site I'd built before my boys were born and I was messing around finding my feet online. I'm taking it as a sign of

So I stumbled across something today. I'm sure a lot of you are already aware of it, but I was rather pleased with myself as a newbie! I've found another way to find some awesome low hanging fruit keywords. If you've read my last blog, you'll know I've had success ranking in bing/yahoo recently. So today I watched the training on setting up some analytics over there (here it is: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-ge...)I was having a look around what was available in webmaster tools

So I was just checking my Google Analytics account, expecting to see my running site cruising along the gutter like usual (it's only one month old and only has 10 posts). But it appears my pages have started ranking! Hooray! I delved into it a little more and the traffic is coming from Yahoo and Bing, I even have some content on page one of Bing! *Celebrates*Feeling pretty excited to see so much organic traffic starting to show up, and to get some real life proof that my hard work is getting noti

Good things take time, right? We can be impatient with this wanting to make money thing (myself included), especially when we're working our tails off to get sites up and running. Today it came to me that building your successful online business is kinda like building a house.....Location, location, location! You've got to figure out your niche, and what your domain name (internet "real estate") is gonna be.DesignNext, you start planning your site. What does its structure look like? Is it user fr

So, I just wanted to share with you all, that after a month of hard work and great fun here with Wealthy Affiliate, I've decided to go yearly! I'm feeling very excited about this, and am looking forward to continuing with the great forward momentum I've gained from becoming a WA member. My motivation is betterThe support and wise words of the community always help me keep on track. I'm posting to my sites a lot more regularly than I ever thought I'd be able to, and am enjoying building them out.

So I've been here at WA for one month now.... but I've learned so much it feels like longer! The community support is such a good motivator, there is always someone to give you a nudge when you feel like dragging your feet, and every question I've asked has been answered super fast. What I've achieved this month:Made massive improvements to my existing weight loss site. I'm finally seeing an increase in traffic and am starting to rank for some keywords. Built another site from scratch following t

So it's Wednesday, the middle of my working week (for now, while I'm still doing the 9-5).I've been struggling a bit with my motivation this week so thought I might share some ideas that have helped me. We're all going to have periods where we feel a bit "over" things, but as we all know, good things take time and it's important to just keep going. Listen to Kyle! When you reach a stage in a training and he tells you take a 10 day break from the lessons (while working on your site of course), do

It only took me 6 days to see that joining Wealthy Affiliate is the right thing for me. I've been dabbling with a site for around a year now, and enjoying writing it, but never really knowing quite what I was doing. I've been absolutely blown away by the content of the training so far, and I've only done the free stuff! Can't wait to see what's next. I feel really excited about what I'm doing, and that I have a bit more purpose and direction now. I've also been amazed at the support and encourag
